I love all the ice cream but I really think a super creamy vanilla might just be the best flavor, EVAR. It's subtly complex and a perfect compliment to a cold coke, a big spoonful of hot fudge or pretty much any fruit.

Best and worst dates?
Favorite thing your LO does?
If you could change something in your past, what would it be?
Best date - when DH surprised me for my 30th and took me to a delicious dinner and to see Wicked at Pantages in LA.
Worst - I've had so many bad first dates but the worst was the guy who smacked the waitress on her ass, put his used chewing tobacco on the table and yelled "get it!!" During a sex scene at the movies. I faked an illness and bolted.
I love when LO stops nursing to grin up at me. Heart melting!
I don't really believe in regrets but if I had to live my life over I would probably try to complain less about my upbringing. I spent a lot of years upset about growing up poor, in a divorced family. I realize now that my parents just did the best they could. They screwed up a lot but I do wish I could have forgiven for those mistakes sooner. What a lot of wasted time and energy being upset over things I couldn't change!

I always wear my diamond stud earrings. DH gave them to me the Christmas after dd was born and it was a huge surprise. They aren't huge and didn't cost a fortune but it's one if the very few times he surprised me w a gift. And he's a practical gift guy so that made them extra special. I never take them off so all occasions!

I Iove anything by Mighty Leaf brand but I'm partial to black or white teas. . Tazo Joy tea at Christmas is a winner, too. Earl grey is my least favorite. It smells.
I like coffee flavor but drinking it hurts my stomach so I only do blended coffee drinks or coffee ice cream (homemade pls!).
I get an awake tea latte at Starbucks for hot or a passion tea lemonade for cold. (And a pink cake pop!)
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
DH and I went to London, Paris and all over Ireland on first anniversary. It was amazing! I had never really travelled much and the experience was really overwhelming and fulfilling. The people of Ireland are so kind and strong. And the landscapes were Amazing. London was extra fun because we stayed with my friend and she showed us all the best places to eat and hang. And Paris... Paris was magical.
Can I pick two dream trips? I want to go to Australia w DH. And I want to take dd to Paris when she turns 18. But I want it to be a surprise. We'll see if that's realistic. But I hope!
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
Oh my. I'm not sure I can choose! I am so thankful to live in a place with so much diversity in culture and food. I also love that you can eat on a patio almost everyday of the year. Some of my faves are: Viggiluccis, The Flying Pig, The Yellow Deli, urbn pizza, la especial Norte, Fidel's, Swamis, and the "Papas" brand of restaurants (in Texas)
Fave chain is Panera or chipotle.

Favorite spot in our fine city (and surrounding areas)?
My absolute favorite spot is where a certain street in north county dead ends into the beach. When I first drove from Texas, I unloaded my truck and drove straight to that spot to get my first good look at the Pacific. It's a great sunset watching spot and I swear I looked over the water and knew my future was right there - just waiting for me to grab it. It was like a baptism, my old life (and troubles) just sort of washed away. I ended up renting a tiny apartment near there and walked to that spot almost daily for a year. It's still my go-to beach spot. I love it. AND what I didn't know when I first found it was that my DH lived two blocks from there - but I had to wait almost a year to meet him.

Since you decided to bring the AMA's up again (good idea) What question are you most looking forward to answering? What is the question you're hoping no one would ask? And then....answers please!

I hope someone will ask me my favorite quote - It's one from Conan O'Brien (and you already know this if you follow me on IG) but it is "If you work really hard and are kind, amazing things will happen." I truly believe this!
I can't think of anything I hope no one will ask. I'm an open book!

I work for a City in Economic Development and serve as a liaison to the business community. I work with existing businesses to solve problems they may have with the City (or others), answer questions and connect them to resources. I also help to recruit new businesses to town and help them through the permitting, zoning, and whatever else comes up. I oversee the business license division, too. I really love my job, especially helping to solve problems and I love seeing the results of my work and the direct impact it has on the community. I do not like the stress and long hours, especially now that I have two kiddos.
Best, I feel as though I'm warm and put people at ease. I love connecting with people and finding common ground. The worst is I often bite off more than I can chew which leaves some things undone. I'm working on it!

Toilet paper: over or under?
Worst movie you've ever seen?
Describe your dream house.
TP: OVER!
Worst Movie - I Heart Huckabies. DH and I walked out.
My dream house is a mid-century ranch-style single-story with exposed beams. Open, with a big back porch, a pool (that miraculously maintains itself). I need a huge updated kitchen with two ovens, a wine fridge, and a huge island that people gather around to eat and chat. The Master has a giant soaking tub in the bathroom and a closet outfitted with all the organization. The kids rooms are large and bright and the play room is right between. The house is on a hill overlooking the canyon on one side and the ocean on the other. There are lots of fruit trees and a huge veggie garden. There are no TVs in the house.

Foreign language(s) you speak? Would like to speak?
Best/Worst movie you've seen?
If you could be a famous person for a day, who'd you be and why?
I speak a little Spanish, just enough to help someone at the counter at work. Would love to speak Spanish fluently. It would be very helpful since a huge percentage of the population in SoCal speaks Spanish.
Best movie - My favorite all time movie is Bridget Jones Diary. (DS is named Colin sort of after Colin Firth!) Worst - I Heart Huckabies.
If I could be a famous person, I think I would pick Michelle Obama. I'd love to see life from her eyes and since I love government, history and politics I would want to know how everything works. Plus, her arms are amazing! I could know her workout routines and then pretend to do them when I return to myself. (I wouldn't actually do them, most likely, because lazy.)
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
I'm very excited you are doing an AMA. I see you post all the time, but don't feel like we really know each other.
1. Favorite breakfast?
2. Dream weekend pre-LO? Dream weekend with LO?
I love breakfast food! My best would be a good egg scramble with all the veggies, one pancake, bacon and crispy yet mushy in the middle hashbrowns. A giant cup of strong black tea with honey.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
When it was just DH and I, my dream weekend was is hanging at the beach, riding our bikes around town and to the farmers market, cooking dinner together and hanging out in our underwear. Being a newlywed was fun!
Now, my dream is for both kids to sleep until 9. Then we eat a delicious breakfast at my favorite breakfast place and then go for a walk along the sea wall. Then we all do a family activity like the children's museum or Legoland.
I'm pretty easy to please.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
If you were throwing a party, what would the theme be?
If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would it be?
Phobia- being trapped or confined.
Ooh, I love a good theme! If I threw a party right now it would probably be a my favorite things party. And I would have all my favorite wine, beer, food and desserts. I love to find new things and tell everyone about them.
I would love to be a giraffe. I love them and they seem to have pretty happy lives. Also they are tall and I'm short so that would be fun.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
If you could meet anyone from any time, who and why?
I do own a black Swingline.
Spirit animal is elephant. They are so gentle and happy.
I would want to meet Eleanor Roosevelt. We share a birthday and u think she was a bad asss. She helped shape policies that are still in place and she's my feminist hero.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
I forgot one of my pet peeves. People who leave a voicemail saying "call me, I have a question" but don't say what they need to ask. Often I have to research or check into the answer and of people would just say what they need I could find out and only have to call them back once!

Yes! I get such anxiety from these kind of calls.
Coke or Pepsi?
What are your favorite physical and mental things about your H?
What traits of yours do you hope your kids inherit?
Diet coke!
His eyes are so deep and beautiful. My daughter got those, for sure. While LO has my eyes, I think. DH is also the kindest person - and treats me and others with respect. He's got a gentle spirit and he's hilarious!
I hope they get Brian's smarts, eyes, kind heart, and athleticism. I hope they get my enthusiasm for life, wit, optimism, and resilience.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
What's your favorite family tradition? Is there a new one you'd like to start with LO?
What's your ideal family vacation?
I love that dance in the kitchen on Friday nights. I love breakfast in bed in your birthday. We have lots of Christmas traditions, too but the other two are my fave.
I'd love to rent a lake house or beach house and just "be". Just relaxing with my family playing games and laughing is perfect to me.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
Favorite and least favorite trend from the past decade?
Favorite thing to dress LO in?
Adult rompers/one pieces are pretty much the worst. Favorite thing is the turn of the dress! I love dresses and for a while it seemed like no one wore them.
Well, I admit it was more fun to dress dd because girl clothes have so many options but I love to dress DS in little tiny "man clothes". I'm looking for a a baby suit (pants & suspenders) for him to wear to my brothers wedding. Ridiculous yet adorable.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
Hey, I just wanted to say that there aren't enough love tits in the entire world for me to express how much I love that you picked Eleanor Roosevelt as your person you'd want to meet. I am so glad you did an AMA. I knew you were someone I should get to know better!
If you were to write a book, what would it be about? Would you use your own name or a pen name?
What's on your Netflix queue/DVR?
My favorite childhood memory is making Halloween costumes with my "big sister" every year. We were matched through the big brothers big sister program and she was such an instrumental person in my life. She still is! Here's a picture if her with my little family after LO was born. She flew out from tx to help me.
If I write a book it would be for kids and about a little girl using my dd as inspiration. It would be about discovering the world as a 4 y/o sassy pants McGee. And I would use my maiden name to keep dd from being embarrassed about having a book inspired by her.
As far as tv, I'm pretty boring right now. I'm all caught up on my faves House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. I've been enjoying Last Comic Standing this summer. My DH pretty much hogs the tv and btwn work and the kids, I'd rather read or sleep! Now that doesn't mean I won't veg out to a real housewives marathon. Oh! I do love Survivor!
What's your favorite room in your house? What room do you wish you could renovate?
LOs room is my favorite because it's the most recently done. I'm so freaking proud if of how it turned out. And I love rocking him and enjoying the peace in there.
DDs room is cute, too but I have some things I want to change in there. I always lived in apartments growing up and we moved a lot so I never put things on the walls or was allowed to paint. I'm still learning how to decorate and want to redo basically all my rooms with the kitchen being the highest priority.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!

Fans and windows open, but only if it's under 83. Over 83, AC all the way.
