It’s been about a month since our last check in…just wanting to check in with everyone and see how things are going!

 

As usual, I would love to hear how everyone’s experience is going. Anyone else who is interested in inducing or thinking about it, please feel free to chime in as well!

 

@jalara48 – have you started pumping? How’s that going?

 

@karlamo – hows it going? Have you started weaning for your FET?

 

@amandag47 – how are things going? Are you still breastfeeding? How are the twins?

My update is, I don't have much of an update :-)

 

I start pumping september 1, I have purchased my herbs and started eating my oatmeal...other than that I'm still poppin' my pills and waiting to pump!

 

There has been a lot of talk around the board about bio moms having difficulty pumping and that makes me nervous as a non-bio parent and not being able to produce enough milk. I know its not the end of the world but it feels that way to me...

@jalara48‌ that's great your milk is coming in! I took lots of pictures at various points while pumping. I was so proud to see my supply increase. As for the sleeping yeah I thought that interrupted sleep would help me get ready for baby duty. Ha! Nothing compares to taking care of a newborn. Get your sleep now.

As for me. I'm 5 months at breast feeding and going strong. My wife is out of town for the week so this is my first time doing 100% of the feeding. I wonder if I'll see a jump in supply. R is stating solids soon so I think the 3 oz that I produce will be enough to feed him without a SNS.

I haven't started weaning. I had an appt with our RE who said I can't bf on the ivf meds but that I didn't need to wean before our FET, just not feed him when I take meds. We're still not sure when we'll do it but probably Oct.

For those just starting pumping. It's a emotional process and our hormones are so out of whack. I had several breakdowns during those first few months. It takes dedication like no one knows. The first time you get to feed your baby at the breast, you'll forget what it was like pumping every 2-3 hours. Hang in there!

@jalara48 I just came back to look at your response to the last check in and realized I never responded. I will be pumping for about 3 months. I know this is a little long but I want to be as prepared as possible. I work from home so it is easier for me to get away to pump and I am so scared to get started.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It is good to know that it was slow moving and you are producing a good gradual flow. Is it still going well?

@firstcomeslove2013‌, the universe must have told you I was thinking of you cause here you are! First off, thanks for asking. I (we) survived!!! I've cut way down on using the SNS. Which I love because that thing can be a pita to deal with. I'm going on 6 months!!
The reason I was thinking of you is because I started taking mothers milk love plus. It's a herbal blend intended for induced lactation. I've been taking it for a week now along with fenugreek and my milk is spraying everywhere and my supply increased!!
The herb you can get online I can give you more info if interested. I was doing fenugreek and blessed thistle but swallowing 18 pills plus 8 of the domperidone is nuts! The mothers milk is 1 pill 4xday. Much easier and it contains goats rue and other herbs to build tissue.
Have you set a date for when the girls are getting hooked up? When the times comes please reach out if you need me. My first week I was a hysterical mess emailing a girl I barely knew who went through it. She was my rock (along with the mrs)
