We've been CC free since I can't remember. I think Thanksgivingish? I used coconut oil and then always washed his hair and I didn't ever think he was stinky
I voted ss. He had little bits of it up until very recently (little as in I think I am the only one who noticed), but his hair is a little thicker now. You used to see it through the wisps, but nothing is visible now. When it was bad, we used Head and Shoulders shampoo.
E still has significant cradle cap. The dr suggested Selsun Blue which I did a few times when he was smaller, but now that he moves around so much in the bath, I am too nervous it will get into his eyes.
@lizabethann06 thank for that suggestion - it won't ship to Canada, but I'll see if I can find it anywhere in-store.
@mermomo5@haddocky I may try the oil routine again. When I used coconut oil, I swear to god she smelled like fungus or mold. Poor kid stank to high heaven.
Both my kids have had such an awful time with it. It's even worse that her hair is so fine and blonde, you can see the disgusting brown scaly patch so easily.
I may also look into a dandruff/anti fungal shampoo.
Yeah I answered "No" but I probably should have answered SS because the question was if they "still had" it and Lillie never had it! DS had it a little bit as a newborn but not bad. I don't know if having hair makes a difference but L was born with a full head of hair and it's pretty long now. Sorry!

My sister's kids all had it badly and she would put baby oil on their hair for about an hour before their baths and then wash their hair. I think it had cleared up completely by the time they were all around five to six months old.
We never got it either, @Encchanted. I always use J&J baby shampoo and scrub her head all over with one of these scalp scrubbies (link)
Grey had it when he was younger. We used coconut oil and combed it out. It never came back after that. You didn't like the smell? I use it all over my face! I think it's yummy!
@thegoodpotato is it possible she actually had an infection of the skin? I was reading about them last week. And maybe the oil brought out the smell by unplugging plugged pores or something? It stinks she was smelly after doing it.
My older DD has it again. *sigh*. I started working on it over the weekend. After I put LO to bed, she gets another go around.
