32 weeks and in the 65th percentile

Hi ladies. I'm 32 weeks today and at my 4d the doctor said I'm measuring in the 65th percentile. What exactly does that mean? They said I should have about an 8lb baby. Does it mean anything about due date??

Re: 32 weeks and in the 65th percentile

  • No, it doesn't mean anything about due date. Ask your doc for more information.

  • Thank you!
  • @shauna813 the nurse did the ultrasound, the doctor was stuck in traffic and therefore called me w/the results. My main concern was making sure that baby was healthy....I didn't even think to ask anything else.
  • That should be a nice plump little baby.
  • Is there Bump Search Bar add-on for Firefox or something? Because I feel like we are the new fucking Jeeves'

  • At 33 weeks with my son I measured in the 75th percentile. It just means out of everyone who is just as far along as you, your baby is 65% bigger than the average baby. Your kid will probably be tall.

No one still asks Jeeves...maybe they should start though...and Firefox is still around?

  • Ahh my apologies, I mixed it up. Bigger than that percent of babies, not that much bigger, lol duh.

  • Wait, I last used Jeeves in high school. You CAN Google using Firefox. They've even got an add-on for that. You mean people use browsers other than Firefox?
    Weirdos....

I just graduated from Firefox to Chrome. The transition has been nice.

I've used Chrome before. I prefer Firefox.

My H seriously JUST moved over to Firefox from IE last month. The poor poor man took way too long and got way too upset at IE before making the switch.

Jeez. I made the switch from Explorer to Firefox in 2010, and thought I was behind the times!

  • @camichael84‌ You have no idea the level of "behind the times" my DH has achieved. In some areas he's cutting edge... newest tv, newest game system, etc. But I am the tech savvy computer one of the two of us (he can't even set up wifi on his gaming systems without my help), the ie thing, and..... he has NEVER owned a cell phone, ever. And when I finally do get him to get one...when our kids are in school probably.... he does not want one of "those annoying touch screen phones." :P
  • It's actually a pretty perfect % if you ask me. They aren't accurate though until baby is born. My son measured 80-90% my entire pregnancy... they told us to expect a big baby! He was 7lbs 11oz.
