Hi ladies. I'm 32 weeks today and at my 4d the doctor said I'm measuring in the 65th percentile. What exactly does that mean? They said I should have about an 8lb baby. Does it mean anything about due date??
It really just means that at this point, 35% of babies are larger than yours, and 64% are smaller. 8 lbs. is a pretty average weight for a freshly delivered (for lack of a better word) baby, and it doesn't change anything about your due date.
@shauna813 the nurse did the ultrasound, the doctor was stuck in traffic and therefore called me w/the results. My main concern was making sure that baby was healthy....I didn't even think to ask anything else.
At 33 weeks with my son I measured in the 75th percentile. It just means out of everyone who is just as far along as you, your baby is 65% bigger than the average baby. Your kid will probably be tall.

....if you'd gone on your Firefox browser and asked Jeeves, you would've known this wasn't accurate....

Wait, I last used Jeeves in high school. You CAN Google using Firefox. They've even got an add-on for that. You mean people use browsers other than Firefox?

Weirdos....
I just graduated from Firefox to Chrome. The transition has been nice.

I've used Chrome before. I prefer Firefox.
My H seriously JUST moved over to Firefox from IE last month. The poor poor man took way too long and got way too upset at IE before making the switch.

Jeez. I made the switch from Explorer to Firefox in 2010, and thought I was behind the times!
@camichael84 You have no idea the level of "behind the times" my DH has achieved. In some areas he's cutting edge... newest tv, newest game system, etc. But I am the tech savvy computer one of the two of us (he can't even set up wifi on his gaming systems without my help), the ie thing, and..... he has NEVER owned a cell phone, ever. And when I finally do get him to get one...when our kids are in school probably.... he does not want one of "those annoying touch screen phones." :P
It's actually a pretty perfect % if you ask me. They aren't accurate though until baby is born. My son measured 80-90% my entire pregnancy... they told us to expect a big baby! He was 7lbs 11oz.
