T&Ps needed. - NT Scan results

So i just got a call from the geneticist that reviewed the results from my NT scan. The measurements for Downs were good and my risk decreased for that. However the bloodwork they did showed an increased risk for trisomy 13 or 18. It went from 1/800 to now 1/227. I think at this point we are going to get the panorama (sp?) test done and then go from there. Still sitting here in shock. I wasn't even really paying attention to her at first because I didn't expect bad results.

I just need to pick up the lab slip from the midwives office, then I can go to the lab downstairs. I had to keep DD home today cause she has been sick. But if she ever wakes up from her nap, I might go down there and get it.

This is what i was going to say. I know its very very scary but an increased chance doesnt mean that there is something wrong. My thought and prayers are with you. FX the panorama gives you the all clear. Big hugs!

Much T&Ps to you.  I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but a 1/227 chance (I think) means that there is a 0.4% chance the baby has one of these problems.

This is why I hate these tests. I'm not a betting person but if I bet you 2k dollars I would say that you are going to have a healthy bubbly baby. My friend was given the same diagnosis with worse odds and her son is perfectly fine. Don't worry about this, bc I can guarantee you'll be angry at yourself for causing unnecessary stress during your pregnancy later.
