  • I used a diva cup. I tried my pre baby cup (on?), and it just didn't feel correct. Obviously I will know yet, but I exspect with anatomy changing, I will need to get a different size/cup.

I like that it didn't really leak(operator error occasionally), even on my crazy heavy days. If I felt nervous a panty liner was all I needed(no surf board walking!). It is great for the environment and I never had to think about if I need to buy any pads or tampons.

  • Yeah if you've just had your first baby you probably need a different size. The lengths also vary between brands. Many woman find the diva cup doesn't feel right or it makes them crampy but the luna cup works great. I actually get crampy with my diva cup but I haven't tried the luna cup yet. My period hasn't returned so far.

  • It just feels like cramps. You can't really feel the cup.

  • I used the Diva cup before DD1.  I didn't really have that many consistent periods between DD1 and DD2, so I never got around to buying the size 2.  I bought one recently, but haven't had to use it yet.  For swimming and biking in particular, I really like the cup better than tampons.  No leaks and no strings to chafe.

  • I'm keeping optimistic that BFing will keep my period at bay for a while yet, it did for LO1 so FX. But once it inevitably returns, I plan to look into a cup instead of tampons/pads.

IMO changing a cup is no different than dealing with a used tampon/pad - it's all covered in blood either way.  But blood, my own at least, doesn't bother me.

Luna vs Diva - who likes which better and why?

  • I was just complaining that they discontinued my tampons.  Maybe it's time to try the cup.  Thanks for the info girls.

  • I think luna vs diva varies by person. I don't know any way to find out which is best for you besides trial and error. :-/
