Snow is pretty to look at it but I don't want any part of it. I have to commute to work and since I live in BFE the roads are usually full of snow. I have a 4wd SUV but there are plenty of dip shits that drive like it's no big deal. Last year I got about 10 minutes in (30 minutes later) and I said fuck this and turned around and drove home after getting passed by a couple idiots who lost control. My dog however says BRING IT ON! She goes ape shit. It's pretty funny actually, I'll have to share this winter :-)
I love snow... I much prefer -30C to +30C. I'm in Calgary and our weather is quite schizophrenic, our city has seen snow every month of the year. Thankfully, I'm planning a trip with my (soon to be) 2 kids to Phoneix in Feb for a break from winter.
I LOVE snow and skiing (I grew up in MI), but in KY people can't handle more than 1 inch and they shut down the schools. This means they take away some of our summer if we have more than 2 snow days....SO I hope it's just average and we don't miss any more than usual.
Living in the Deep South our winters consist of cold wet rain and mud:/ not my favorite combination. I think if I lived in a place with real snow I might enjoy winter a little more, but down here, I can't wait for it to be over and done with.

Eh, it's all kinda fine to me. I'm not a huge fan of driving in the snow or ice (because everyone seems to forget how to drive and I just get angry), but there's benefits to every season. I grew up in MN though and am used to pretty brutal winters so it takes a lot to really get me riled up about winter.
Yup! I grew up in WI and live in MN so snow and cold are innevitible here. The last two winters were rough- two years ago, it just kept snowing into May. This year it was crazy cold and then it snowed a bunch in March and April. I'm looking forward to an earlier spring, but it doesn't look like it will be next year. The hardest part has been trying to keep a very active toddler entertained when it is too cold to be outside (and we'll go out if the temp and windchill are above 10 or so).
I voted SS. I live in the NE (Boston) and have a real love/hate relationship with snow. I love snow around the holidays, love to ski, sled and do other outdoorsy things, but only until the end of February when I promptly want it to disappear. I hate snow in March/April and sometimes May. It sucks and it always seems like we get hit later and later every year with storms.

I went with SS - I'm in the "more than usual" area. I love the snow and I love ONE (maybe Two) good snowstorms that we have to huddle up and stay in but I hate the random snows that are just enough to make the roads crappy and make everyone freak out.
I love the snow and will take it pretty much without complaint... that being said the really, really cold crap can stay away. I want to be able to walk in the snow please. Also, Mother Nature, if you could please do one good snow about two days before opening weekend for deer gun season, that would be fantastic.
I grew up in WNY (snowhell capital - always makes the top 5 snowiest cities in the US) my whole life - I now live in NC. Snow was a MAJOR reason for the relocation. I cannot handle any more 100+ inches of snow in a single season. EVER!! I have had my fair share. I seriously would have heart palpitations if I had to move back. And when I hear the phrase "lake effect snow" I practically puke in my mouth.
I hate snow. I hate cold weather. If I had any choice I would move to Florida ASAP! But my husband LOVES snow... Loser! Lol I'm so happy I wasn't pregnant for the winter bc I'm so clumsy. Now I just have to worry about taking a newborn out in the snow. Ugh that might be worse.
I said SS...just because normally I'm a big snow lover. But after this past winter in Michigan (polar vortex, record snow fall), I'm ready for a much more mild winter.
Snow? What's that? I'm in AZ so we won't have snow. Hail is as close as we get and that's rare! It sounds like it will be 80 and humid according to that map. Yuck!
Massachusetts here. The only reason I may be looking forward to the winter months is to experiece the holiday's for the first time with my LO. When DH's friend had a baby two years ago I remember visiting at their house and I thought it was so cozy and sweet that they were all cuddling up to a warm fire as a faniky. I vowed that when we bought a house we would get one with a fireplace just for that reason. We have the house now, with the fireplace, we just need the baby!
But I'm with @MrsSinner402. I hate being cold and I hate the snow. It's fun until the holidays are over and then Jan-May is a nightmare.
If it ever snows in Southern California (outside of the mountains, that is), I'd probably fall over dead from the shock.
That said, while I hate the way people drive in the rain here (i.e., "STORMWATCH 2014" when there's but a mere sprinkle), we are in such a severe drought that I wouldn't mind if we had a really rainy winter. Even more so since I won't be commuting to and from work each day so it won't affect me as much.
Re: How do you feel about wintry weather?
nope nope nope. I don't usually mind winter, but I don't know if I can deal with another colder and snowier than average one yet.
