What is everyone's workout routines? I currently dont have one but i got some Zumba videos im about to start! Im just looking for tips and ideas to get in shape
Oh I also wanted to mention I find those workouts you can do at home without weights (stuff like squats, push ups, lunges) on Pinterest and I can typically find the time to get through 2-3 reps of each exercise, if nothing else.
Just restarted couch to 5k this week! Got through week one, and feeling great. The biggest challenge is finding time in the schedule to alternate with DH so someone is home with DD. Not quite ready to invest in a jogging stroller, and it seems like you can't use one without an adapter until they are 6 months anyway. Otherwise, we go for walks.
Walk every day, yoga at least twice per week and stroller strides 2x a week. We have a young dog who needs a lot of walking so that helps get me out! We went for our first hike yesterday and did 6 miles with her in the ergo!
I think they key is to get the best workout in the shortest time that's why I think workouts like t25 and p90x3 that happen in 30 min make it no excuse to get it in daily. As long as LO is happy, I can out him in his swing or pnp near me as I work out, he plays and even watches me for that 30 min and I can always pause it if he really needs me!
I have been doing a combo of running (treadmill), walking outside with DD and the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I can usually get in a run (3-5 miles) 3-4 times a week and a stroller walk whenever I can. Since I WFH I actually think I have more time now that DD is in daycare since I can workout at lunch with no interruption.
So apparently, carseat adapters for jogging strollers are so you can WALK with your infant?! I could do that with my normal stroller. I guess babe and I can't jog together until 6-8 months-- so frustrating!
I love the Jillian Michaels DVDs (30 day shred and Killer Buns and Thighs are good), and I do a kickboxing class twice a week which is an amazing workout.
^ same. I have been running with her car seat strapped to the bob since 6 weeks. I stick to flat areas and also super strap her down. As long as you are smart about it you should be fine. It's a little top heavy but it's not going to jus fall over on its own! I also have good head support for her with an insert.
