Anyone else experience more bloating/fullness after egg retrieval instead of leading up to it?

I did. I felt not much of anything during stims and the I was in agony and bloated etc after retrieval.

Oh yes .... get out the stretchy pants... it totally sucks!! Side note... how did your dh's TESE go?

I did. Unfortunately it was OHSS.

But I know that there is bloating without OHSS too!

I had bloating and fullness after mine for a couple of days.  just keep an eye out for weight gain and if you are peeing regularly or not.  progesterone could be a part of it too.

Oh yes! Before and after! Seems to be a little better today. My RE's nurse warned me about it. Said I would look about 4 months pregnant and wouldn't be able to button my pants. She was right on, thankfully it's better now (4 days later).

Thanks for all the responses.  As of this morning I am 4dp ER and still feel that way, but it is a little better.  I have been wearing dresses when I left the house and stretchy pants at home.  I tried jeans for the first time yesterday.  I was good for about 1.5-2 hours then felt really uncomfortable.  

@kittenmittens9 I'm not having any issues peeing regularly, but will start monitoring for weight gain.  Thanks for the advice.

@justone13 Leading up to the procedure DH was a nervous wreck.  Then it got delayed several hours so he sat in the waiting room which made his nerves worse.  He was extremely uncomfortable for about a week afterwards, but he refused to take pain medications.  Now, I don't hear any complaints so he must be feeling better.

@Sunny B Ahh... I really hope its not OHSS.  I will mention the continued bloating to my RE when I go in for transfer tomorrow.

I did, but I had minor OHSS. Protein and electrolyte drinks helped me a lot

I did not have bloating after ER, but I had awful bloating after my D&C, which I understand was due to the anesthesia.  If you had anesthesia for your ER, that could be it.

... and, not to delve too far into the realm of TMI, but it could be constipation.  If you find you're not having regular BMs, you might want to get some colace.... wait, someone on this board recently gave very specific advice for something that worked to fix.

If this is the cause for your bloating, hopefully, peri colace is the cure.  GL!

I second what @AMShark‌ said. Stool softeners help big time. @alpCRNA‌ glad it want ok for him. My DH is heading under the knife again in September.

I talked to the IVF nurse at my REs office when they called to schedule ET.  She told me it was normal and that if this works and we get a BFP it may actually get worse before it gets better. 

@AMshark Thanks for the input.  I did have anesthesia, but I asked the anesthesiogist what they gave me.  The only thing that can cause constipation was Fentanyl, but it was a very low dose.  Fentanyl also has a short half-life and therefore does not stay in your system very long.  Constipation hasn't really been an issue, but I will keep that in the back of my mind if things get worse instead of better.

@Justone13  Thanks!  Good luck to your DH.  Hopefully it goes better for him this time around.

Yes I had both. It was normal after 10 days.

Yes!   Peri Colace works very well for comfortable ease of constipation.  My father swears by it after going through chemo...  I used it after myomectomy a few months back and it worked very well!
