After my complete break down yesterday yelling at DH And the dog.

We moved on after talking. DH and I taped off the nursery to be painted. DH was also able to put the first coat of paint on last night. I dropped a small bomb on him that our shower was clogged. He is in there trying to unclog it now. He also wants to mow the law and the mower won't start. I looked up at out living room ceiling and noticed that we have a leak.
If it is not him trying to be helpful and get things going with one thing. Then it is another problem waiting to be taken care of. Just need him to have a break.

Ah, home ownership. It is rewarding but such a bitch when everything goes wrong at once.

You got that right. DH thinks he found the spot where the roof leaked. So a quick patch for now. Then try and get someone out to fix it.

Our house is turning on us too! DH is now outside replacing our breaker box. It caught fire last night. Everything is fine but it about $1000 job for an electrician. Boo on that.

I can relate so much to this post.  We have an old house that always seems to have something wrong.  DH told me for our next house he wants a "maintenance free home."  I hate to break it to him, but that does not exist.

Yep. DH and I decided renting for another year or two will be less stressful- but we want a house! Good luck

Owning is great most of the time. We'll until something break and you are the maintenance person. Then it comes back to bite you. Hopefully things will settle back down.
Drain is fixed, leak on roof is fixed (hopefully), mower still needs to be looked at. Trying to convince DH that he needs a break with a friend. He is being stubborn, I am still working on it.

My mom always said if it's not one thing it will be another with home ownership/car ownership, etc. She has been so spot on since we bought our home.
