This is the weekly check-in for TTCALers who are also dealing with infertility. If you'd like to join us please feel free to intro with your diagnosis and history. We've had a few extra challenges thrown at us, ladies. Come here for snuggles from people who get what you're dealing with. 

Fill us in, along with any other updates or vents you need to get out, TTCAL or NonTTCAL related.

If you get a BFP, please PM me and let me know. I try to lurk on PgAL often, but sometimes it’s tough. If we haven’t heard from you in a few weeks please come back in with an update; or are new and want to join please post a brief intro with your DX and current/future treatment plans an  I’ll add you to next week’s check in!  

@beckynsean11 I'm so sorry for the BFN's hunny, big ((hugs)). Has AF shown? I hope you are having a better week, did you call your RE for counsellor recommendations?

@Frenchteachermama    I hope the testosterone is still being good to you. Next week is a big week for you as you start you're Lupron and Gonal F; you will be on my mind as I route you on ((hugs)). I hope you have a great weekend of distraction planned.

@ky29   We didn't hear from you last week. I hope all is well ((hugs)).

@Lesliem0901 This is also a big week for you too judging by your siggy as you begin IVF priming. Sending you lots of ((hugs)); you'll be on my mind. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

@TVLily‌ Thanks so much for the check in! Thanks for the birthday wishes! I was hoping to not open the bottle of vodka in the cupboard this year but I will be hitting that up tomorrow! Called in cd1 today, this cycle will be the same as last, follicle check will be kn the 11th and iui hopefully on the 15th.

My hamstring IS better, thanks for asking
AF did show, currently on cd 5. My RE lowered my follistim dose because each previous IUI was done fairly early in the cycle, due to several follicles catching up to the dominant one
This is the first time that I've experienced bruising from the shots!

My only fun thing planned is a to continue obsessively watching SOA. I just started and I'm so hooked

QOTW: I wouldn't mind a badge, I just don't really have any ideas at the moment

I haven't been on the bump much lately..... I'm super moody from the Lupron and sadly I get frustrated easily so I have just been in hiding
8-} because nobody but MH should have to deal with my crazy right now

I have been trying to stay occupied lately. DH took me skeet shooting this morning.... It was fun and we have a fun road trip planned for the end of next week, so I'm looking forward to that.

Hopefully the bruises ease up and you show done nice follies soon. I hope the month off has given you a fresh start for this cycle.

I've really wanted to watch SOA I need to watch that sometime.

So monitoring showed a 21mm, 18mm and 16mm so we did TI after bw confirmed the surge so hopefully that is enough!!

Were on holidays for the week so just looking forward to some time to relax.

AFM: @RedheadRunning How did you IUI go this week? Hopefully the numbers were good and everything went smooth. Any fun weekend plans? 

The IUI went great, hubs' numbers were SO good! 55 million and 87% motility, I had to check the paperwork twice I couldn't believe it. (For reference, last month it was 11 million) We've also had some excellent timing on our own, so FX.

AFM:  I can't believe it but I take my last birth control pill today and have my baseline appointment tomorrow!!  The first week of August is officially here.  Right now I'm just praying that everything looks good at my baseline appointment tomorrow and I can start my meds as planned.  DH is going out of town next weekend so I'm going to have to give all of my shots to myself which is no fun...thankfully one of my best friends/neighbors is a nurse so I can always call her if I'm having trouble.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly with your shots with YH out of town. That's good you have your friend available though if you need them.

Have you been on Lupron before? I hope it doesn't make you cray cray...... I'm not sure why it makes me super impatient and easily frustrated, but it does. Hopefully the Lupron treats you better than it does me.....

Yes, sorry I didn't make it last weekend.  I had a busy weekend & work has been kicking my butt the past two weeks.  I just can't catch up. 

But on the TTC side of things - I'll be starting OPKs this week, for what will most likely be our last natural cycle before IVF.  I had my pre-IVF / CD3 bloodwork done this past week, and unfortunately it didn't come back normal.  My E2 was very high, so they checked for a cyst - nope.  They said the RE will NOT let me cycle with my lab work not within normal limits, so I have to get it tested at the start of my next cycle - if it's normal we'll be able to go into IVF, if not I'll be put on BCP.  I was pretty upset because I wasn't expecting that little bump - but oh well!

His urologist put him on Clomid a couple of months ago, plus he's been training for a marathon so has been eating healthier and losing weight. His numbers and motility have been steadily rising since.

@LeslieM0901 I hope monitoring went well. Good luck with your IVF classes!

CD1 showed up on Thurday, so I went in for a baseline on Friday. I had 2 cysts, but they weren't producing estrogen. I went back today to double check everything, things still look the same. My RE wanted to start Femara today & double up from last cycle because my estrogen was still low last time. Hopefully I respond correctly this time around. If not, he wants to move to injects. I'm heading back in on Friday to see how things are. 

I did find a therapist & I went for my first session this afternoon. I think it went pretty well, there were lots of tears but that's to be expected. I'm looking forward to working with her. She wants to do EMDR therapy with me, which is supposed to work well for anxiety, grief, trauma & depression. I feel pretty good just taking the first step.
