Reaction to Vaccines?

The day that LO got his shots and the day after he had a fever. No big deal. Happened every other time he got shots.

He got his shots Monday. By Wednesday he had teeny red bumps all over his thighs around the injection sites. I thought it would go away. Thought it was probably just heat rash. Surely it should've been gone by now.

Now he has bumps on his back. Some are teeny and some look like bug bites. Did this happen to anyone else?

Re: Reaction to Vaccines?

  • I just called. They said its probably nothing so I cam bring him in or watch it. I said I would watch and if it gets worse I'll bring him in. The children's hospital has an urgent care close by so I can always take him there this weekend. It doesn't seem to be bothering him. I think they would have wanted to see him if he had a fever.
  • Let us know how it turns out!

Nothing to add here. Patrick just ran a fever. Although the 6 month shots were the only ones that caused it. Maybe that's why your lo reacted worse this time?

Was it high fever? When my LO got high fever for a couple days after getting shots, doctor said it could be roseola and that it was going around. I was told not to be alarmed if radh starts showing up. Bumpy rash (non-itching) followed by sudden high fever for a couple days. LO doesn't have it... So far. The good news is that it's just a virus that will go away on it's own... Hope your LO feels better soon!
  • I didn't take it with a thermometer. Idk why. It felt pretty high. Maybe that's what it is. I'll look it up.
