Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any success stories on Clomid? First round? I'm about to start my first round today because my dr believes I have PCOS due to only having a period every 3-4 months and failure to conceive. Also any success with Twins? Twins run in my family and I'm curious what my chances are! Thanks!
Re: Clomid success?
Well I didnt have success on my first round but I did on my second round, I have pcos as well and I now almost 10 weeks along. It was only the 50mg dose as well but I has a false start to AF (small spotting) so I took one weeks then wen AF actually showed a week 2 days after my last pill, I did another round...I could actually feel myself ovulating there was sp much pressue. It happened on sat night and hubby didnt come home until sunday morning so su day was it....and now we are so lucky. I also have a friend who had success on it. I hope everything goes good with you.
Since this is a board for people who are having trouble TTC, you're not going to find many success stories. Many of us have not had a successful pregnancy yet. Please post on PAIF (Pregnant after IF) as the women there are pregnant
Is the doctor you're seeing an obgyn or RE? OBs are notorious for not monitoring patients on clomid properly with necessary ultrasounds.

Most of the ladies here have fertility issues and are trying for their first, so this may not be the best place to find success stories. I would suggest posting this on the Pregnant After IF board.
Has your doctor done further testing for PCOS or other IF issues....irregular cycles and failure to conceive could mean so many things, not only PCOS. There is an increased chance of multiples with Clomid, and the risks associated with multiples (meaning two or more), so monitoring via ultrasound is very important.
Good luck.
