Trouble TTC

Clomid success?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any success stories on Clomid? First round? I'm about to start my first round today because my dr believes I have PCOS due to only having a period every 3-4 months and failure to conceive. Also any success with Twins? Twins run in my family and I'm curious what my chances are! Thanks! :)

Well I didnt have success on my first round but I did on my second round, I have pcos as well and I now almost 10 weeks along. It was only the 50mg dose as well but I has a false start to AF (small spotting) so I took one weeks then wen AF actually showed a week 2 days after my last pill, I did another round...I could actually feel myself ovulating there was sp much pressue. It happened on sat night and hubby didnt come home until sunday morning so su day was it....and now we are so lucky. I also have a friend who had success on it. I hope everything goes good with you.

I agree with previous comments. Your doctor should be giving you blood tests, ultrasounds, and an HSG before starting medications. Also, your doctor should explain your chances of conceiving multiples before you take the medications. When you have ultrasounds during your cycle you will know how many follicles are being produced and if there are more than one what that means for an increased chance of multiples. Good luck with everything.

  • Hi sweetie

I've been on 3rounds of clomid with no luck ATM
  • Twins would be awesome. I've read that women with PCOS have a slightly higher chance for twins while on Clomid, something like 10% or a little more.

    Twins are amazing.

Triplets are freakin' dangerous for all involved.

More than that and you'll be lucky to take home a healthy baby. So I hope you are having monitoring and not letting sperm meet egg if there are too many eggs based on your age and history. :)
