Diaper rash on my 2 week old

He's got a couple of spots on his tush that are irritated. Should I be doing something besides applying CJs buttr to it? This is 1st baby, I'm loving CDing, but I just want to make sure he's comfy.

At that age it is probably just new baby sensitive skin if it is just a couple of irritated spots. CJs should be enough unless it starts spreading or getting worse.

Maybe some diaper-free time would help.

Other than that, if you could try Waxelene or Magic Stick -- both have beeswax in them, so they make for a CD-safe moisture barrier. Grandma El's is also a good one.

I would say it nothing your doing. For the last nine months that sweet bum as been swimming in amniotic fluid, now suddenly there is air, diapers, water, ect... Dd got an early rash and it cleared pretty quickly, I would give the cj's another day or two to see if it clears up before spending more money.

I'm a panicky new mom. I think tonight we will give him some free balling it time. Then tomorrow go to natural baby store and get some fleece liners to see if that also helps. Thanks guys!
