Best bottoms

So, I have figured out that I LOVE the best bottom system, more than the flips. I love that they snap in place and seem fluffier than flips. They also fit my chubby little man better.
So I'm wondering what inserts you like to use. I see they are compatable with softbums as well (love the omni as well)! I have 2 of the large stay dry inserts by best bottom but I'm wondering if you like any others better? Thanks!

Re: Best bottoms

  • I actually really like my BBs over flats for a trim fit.  I also LOVE the BB cotton/hemp inserts for the diaper bag.  They hold a ton considering how thin they are.

  • I use star dry during the day, and a doubler plus cotton/hemp overnight. I also LOVE BBs!

  • I love my BBs and use them exclusively during the day. I used to love the stay dry inserts, but since LO doesn't have a wetness sensitivity, I actually prefer the cotton/hemp blend. I like the cotton/hemp trimness, natural fibers, and absorbency without pesky compression leaks, which we occasionally had with the stay dry.

  • I use BBs exclusively on my 2 during the day.  I didn't like the microfiber inserts (I had stink issues and compression leaks) so I use them over prefolds or flats.  If I were to get some inserts I would get the BB cotton/hemp blend.  They are very trim and I heard they are super absorbent.
  • I love their cotton/hemp inserts as well. I haven't tried their stay dry because I'm all about the trim fit and I don't like MF.

  • I forgot to add that I use their shells with flats and also bamboo inserts laid in. They work great for most everything. I think Alva has snap in bamboo inserts if you need the snaps, but I don't have an issue with laying them in.

  • Ok great!! So I'm thinking that I'm going to order more. Is it worth it to just do the GMD flats? That seems to be what everyone raves about on here. Never tried any flats or fitteds

  • I have the Imagine birdseye cotton flats and am very happy with them.
  • I love my best bottoms! I have to use them selectively since we're still in the runny newborn poo phase, but I love the covers over snappi'd flats or prefolds. We use the stay dry inserts with the doubler at night. I think when we move to large inserts I will go with the natural fiber ones to prep for potty learning eventually.
Side note: I also have Imagine birdseye flats and love them.

  • I love in the inserts! I use those in my flips (just lay them in). I reach for them over my flips stay drys. And muh cheaper... Especially during nickis gently used stockings.
