Hair coloring

I'm starting stims next Wednesday. I've had an appointment scheduled for this weekend to get my hair cut and colored for months. Do you think it's still ok to color? I'm not planning to while I'm PG, so it would be nice to cover up the grays and find a color that will blend better with my roots in case we are successful this month. Thoughts?

I sure hope it's okay.  My SIL had dyed hers blue right before she found out she's pregnant from IUI and now has to go teach in two weeks! (lol)  I asked my OB about this before the whole IF saga started and she said that it's fine.  But others have different opinions.

I honestly don't think any of this matters. So many ladies do these things that were not suppose to and get pregnant regardless. I think the most important thing when it comes to fertility treatments is age and eating lot of healthy meats and vegatqbles and avoiding toxins like alcohol and cigarettes etc. that's just my opinion though

I've heard/read that there is really no evidence that hair coloring is bad while pregnant, but most people are extra precautious and don't do it. My hairdresser is from the Netherlands and she said they don't even think twice over there. Speaking of which, what do hair dressers do while they're pregnant...do they stop coloring for their clients? Never really thought about that.

My RE was okay with doing it before stim; he just said "no" once we had begun the process. And even that, I feel is an over-abundance of caution.

Some dye formulations are more gentle than others; you could always ask your stylist to use the gentlest possible formulation.
