So today I went to the perinatologist and found out that I have to be on bed rest because my baby not getting enough nutrients and I am over exerting my self. Is anyone else on bed rest and if so why?
No that is all that the doctor said. He wants me to be on full bed rest due to my job. I am on my feet all day long. But we agree that i will do last time and he will re exam me in 2 weeks
How did they know baby is not getting enough nutrients? Is LO measuring small on ultrasound or did they do some other sort of test?
My DS was IUGR but I was never on bedrest because we weren't able to determine the cause. I'm sorry you're stuck! I hope the 2 weeks passes quickly and the results of your next exam show baby getting all he/she needs!!
I'm not on bed rest but thoughts & prayers to you & all on bed rest.

I'm sorry your going through this. Bed rest is hard and was so emotional for me very out of your element I'm sure. Did he say anything about your placenta ? Or why does he say the baby isn't getting nutrients ? Is there a delay in growth at all ? All well wishes for you and your baby . Your not alone. I made a blanket while on bed rest it was by far hard but keep your LO cooking as long as possible
So sorry you are dealing with that. I was also told that my baby might not be getting enough nutrients however I was not put on bed rest. My doctor just recommended that I test as much as possible and lay on my left side as much as possible. I hope you can find se good books or shows while on bed rest and that it helps your LO.
I'm on partial bed rest. I guess I refuse to say I'm on bed rest yet... But was told not to do anything. So I guess it's probably the same thing, but I'm still eager to go on a 10 hour trip home on Friday, and just want to be hopeful that it's still a possibility! I was having contractions for 4 days that were pretty close together. Ended up going in because I had them every 5 minutes. I had some shots to stop them, and have only had the few random Braxton Hicks since! It's really hard taking it easy when the house is a mess though!
Thoughts for you and your LO, hoping baby gets more nutrients and is healthy!
Re: Bed rest
I'm on pelvic bed rest (basically just no intercourse or heavy lifting) for low-lying placenta.
