This is similar to another post I just put up but just curious what everyone put their NB in. Bassinet, rock n play, crib, etc? Trying to figure out what seems appropriate.
I kept looking for a bedside crib that would allow easy breastfeeding and couldn't find anything I liked. The Armsreach co-sleeper was affordable but seemed bulky and still required picking up the baby and putting her back down. I finally bought a Bednest bassinet that attaches to the side of the bed. It just arrived and it is perfect! It seems like it will be the perfect solution for the first baby months for those who want to sleep with thier baby in the same room. (They are only sold in the UK but they have free shipping to the US from their website)
We used a rock and play next to our bed for the first 3 weeks but she is now in her crib. I did move her crib into the dining room which is next to our bed room so she is still close. I was not comfortable with her being in her room because it is up stairs and we are down.

He slept in the newborn sleeper of the pack n play in our room for the first 2 months and then we moved him into his crib. I loved the newborn sleeper because it was small and removable, if he was asleep we could tote him around the house in it. Also, we put it in his crib to sleep in when we transitioning him to his room.

RNP next to bed for first 8 weeks. Love that thing. Now we're trying to get her to sleep in her crib. If she gets too fussy or wants to wake up too early sometimes we put her in the RNP in the nursery so she gets used to sleeping in there.
My DD doesn't want to sleep anywhere but in my or DH's arms. We bought a RNP today so we are hoping that will help.

DD was in the RNP right next to the bed for 8 weeks. Now she is in the PNP still in our room and will be for probably about 3 more months or so, She is 12 weeks now.
Both my kids have been in their crib in their own room from night one for night time sleep. I am a light sleeper and can't stand all the noise they make in their sleep. Daytime naps are crib, bouncy chair, or my arms depending. Occasionally with a super early wake up they get to come into bed with us, but not often.
DD starts in her own crib swaddled with a woombie (best thing ever!!). She'll go 3-5 hours like that, eat and then down for another 2 hours. After that I will bring her into bed with me and we bed share the rest of the night.

DS is in the PNP in the newborn sleeper in our room. Once he rolls over we will transition him out of the newborn sleeper part of PNP but keep him in our room. Then at 4 months we will be probably transition him into his crib. I think at about 2 months we will transition him into crib for naps. Right now he sleeps in my arms, Fisher Price Newborn to Toddler Rocker, and sometimes the PNP. For naps I don't swaddle him but at night we do and sleeps pretty good.
LO is 3 wks today and has been sleeping in RNP at night beside bed and bassinet in living room during the day for naps to allow for sleeping on a flat surface. We have begun to transition to crib for short daytime naps as well.
