Hysteroscopy was a no go

I got to the office today. They stuck me several times to get an IV in (I have terrible, rolling veins), then they put me under, and couldn't pass the catheter. I was told my scarring is too think (she used concrete) to go in from the bottom. So I have to schedule a laproscopic tomorrow - no idea when that will be.

I am sad and pissed and just tired. I have been working to get a PP period for almost a year. I really had hoped I would be at least actually working towards fertility treatments by now. I should have asked to see an RE sooner and not tried everything with my OBGYN first. Though, I assume I would have had to do it all anyway. Ugh. I know I don't post here much, but I know that you all will at least understand my disappointment with the day. DH doesn't really 'get' it.

Re: Hysteroscopy was a no go

  • You are not alone. I feel like I waited too long to see an RE and now that things aren't going the way they should I find myself disappointed like that. I try to stay positive my remembering you are moving forward and doing something to get this process rolling. Good luck!

  • I'm so sorry :(. They couldn't pass the catheter for me either until they gave me cydotec to soften my cervix. They finally broke the adhesion with the catheter and I'm scheduled for the hysteroscopy to remove the remaining scar tissue in 2 weeks. I hope that they figure everything out for you and that the Lap is exactly what you need for a sibling. Good luck!!
