Common??

I have finally started feeling babies move within the last couple of weeks. My question is....I definitely feel one baby a ton more than the other. Is that common? Both babies are breech, and baby boy (a) is like a ninja but I hardly ever feel baby girl. (She's probably like stop moving so I can sleep lol).

Happened to me as well- during the 2nd trim I felt B move tons more than A. Eventually an ultrasound tech told me B was positioned closer to the surface and that's probably why I felt him more.
  • I would could always feel and see my baby B move. He laid transverse on top of his brother. I didn't feel my baby A much and would stress each night until I could get a couple good thumps from him. He was breech with his feet up by his head. Plus both boys placentas were anterior.

  • It really depends on their positions and placentas. It's normal.

  • Another thing to consider- I thought I was feeling all B and no A for awhile but MFM's ultrasound showed that they had moved from where I thought they were to transverse with their heads on the same side and feet almost on top of each other so I was feeling both but they were small enough at the time I hadn't realized one moved. Not the case anymore for sure at 29 weeks but my wiggly B pulled that a couple times. Not sure how far you are (mobile) but hopefully that helps.

Totally normal. I felt A way more than B. I always said our boy was the feisty one and the girl was mellow. Still true as outside babies!

This is my exact situation, positioning, placentas and all! I only feel A when he kicks the piss out of my bladder (usually when I am in an important meeting - ha!).

  • Thanks everyone. Makes me feel better. With my last pregnancy I didn't feel DD very much because of where her placenta was. I def have one wiggly baby and one chill one.

  • That was the case for me, too. About 90% of the movement I felt was from one baby, though that changed the last couple of months when they changed positions.
fraternal twin boys born january 2009
  • I always felt my daughter kick and rarely felt my son. Once they were born I found out why, my daughter kicks all the time. She kicks everything and flings her legs around non-stop. My son just chills.
