Mold - what would you do?

I posted a few days ago that I found mold on a 4.0. It is on the inner lining. I have bleached so far and tried sunning. The little black stains are still there.

Would you just throw out if the stains do not come out? DH wants to throw but I am not sure.

If it's just stains, I would still use it. Mold will leave stains even after it's been killed. Have you tried hydrogen peroxide on it? It can help with stains and will kill mold/spores too.

I wouldn't toss a BG for stains. That seems wasteful to me.

You bleached and sunned?  Mold is dead.  They are just stains and won't hurt your baby.  I once had a mildew issue with one of my son's pockets and my husband threw it in the ultrasonic cleaner.  looked brand new.  I realize not everyone has one of those, but what that does mean is that enough heat and bleach can help you.  I know for me, my washer doesn't get as hot as it needs to in order to do a full strip.  I have to boil water and add it in during the soak cycle.  Maybe you could try that.

As long as the mold is dead, the stain isn't any different than any other stain. Keep.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear. No off to convince DH....... it is the very first CD that I purchased too so something in me just could not think of parting with it

Confused as to why you bumped this? 

I can tell you that after a thread on fb, don't use dawn. Dawn doesn't do anything to remove stains if it's not a grease stain. Honestly I'd keep using it and try some lemon juice in the sun on it.

I didn't bump it, the bump duplicated my post. I am on day 2 of sunning and it is slightly better
