TTC AGAIN CHECKIN 7/30

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. 

A check-in will be posted every week. Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. 

 

Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in.

Jessylane8- 7/24 Nothing exciting on cycle 2 waiting to O. 

mnj05 – 7/24 Not much going on, just counting down the days.

Bellalou – 6/18 Aiming for a fresh cycle on the house in October.

blueberries8 - 5/29 - FET #3 was a no-go because none of the embryos continued to develop after thawing  I stopped my meds and now I am just waiting to get AF and on June 12 I meet with the RE to come up with a new plan.

Efhoping2010 -7/16 Hopefully going to CO next week for my ODWU for IVF/ICSI #4

 

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own.  Praying for that little miracle to happen.  You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha  I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own.  If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period.  Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating.  We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!  
fullfhope – 6/4 - I have my follow up with RE on 6/12.

jmorta04-7/24  We also have our FET today! Going in at 9:30 to transfer our only frobaby. I started PIO on Saturday and so far it's been okay. H is a champ for doing it (he's petrified of needles) and I have taken all your wonderful advice av

 

itsmevkb -6/25 The mock transfer and hysteroscopy were all normal so I'm on track to start estrace in late July and due a FET mid August.

 

kmc84 – 7/24 FET today! We will transferring our two remaining blasts.

 

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I love swimming, but don't get to do it much. I never thought I would want a pool until we had kids. If we had a pool, I think I would swim every day in the Summer!

 

LauraBeth1401 – 7/22 Had my transfer yesterday.  Everything went smoothly.  I'm stuck on the couch now until tomorrow afternoon (although DH still won't let me pick up DD until Sunday) which is so much harder with a LO.  First beta is next Saturday, 8/2.  

 

mg0202 -7/16 Just waiting on AF and I will be starting BCP for our FET. Transfer will hopefully be early September.

Pam MG – 7/16 3rd DS IUI was a big bust and am wondering if it was because I was on drugs for a UTI up until the day before or if because I triggered a day early because they were all so big. I am really nervous about this next one because it will likely happen the day after my birthday which means finding out on Declan second birthday and they day we head out for a week long vaca at the beach with my entire family. The good news is the doc actually listened to me for once instead of pushing IVF (told him they needed to give me a huge discount or help me figure this IUI situation out) and added another drug in besides Femera.

 

trigirl79 - 6/4 - Beta was negative on Tuesday. We're taking a break in June, I'll do temps and OPKs but no meds. AF arrived yesterday, which is actually good news since hopefully it means my body is finally regulated.

MoFree –7/24 I'm starting BCPs next week in preparation for IVF#2. If all goes well, ER and ET should be mid September. To be honest, I don't have any expectation of success but feel I need to do another fresh cycle before making peace with being OAD.

 

STL34-7/24 Today is CD 25. Feels so pointless to keep track when not cycling. But, I will be doing ovulation predictor test next cycle. Counting down the days until my next second opinion appointment.

 

Phishgirl29- 7/16 I guess you could say I'm taking a break now while I wait for my operative hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue. FET is on hold for a couple of months while I recover (or if at all depending on how much scar tissue they find). 

 

Chiwifey-7/24 I had my phone consult with c.crm this morning and looking to move forward with at least a ODWU up with them. Since I just started my cycle I can potentially go out next week for that so I'm waiting on a call from their scheduling dept to know if that's a go or if we wait until next month.

I'm going to join this weeks check-in. I had posted a couple weeks ago about blood work before starting Metformin. I called my OB who was on vacation and she returned my call Monday. She has ordered the blood work, now I just need to get it done. My goal is today, but it is looking more like tomorrow. My first AF since the IUD was removed just concluded so our first trying on our own cycle is underway. We are just going with the flow until we return to the RE. ***Update- The blood work is done and I hope to have the results Friday, so I can get the Metformin going.***


QOTW: My wedding day would have to be my favorite experience next to the boys. It would be my favorite not only because I married the man of my dreams, but because what was not supposed to happen happened. My stepmother managed to convince my dad's doctors to let him be checked out for the day and that meant the doctors came with him on their own volunteered time. This led to my dad who was terminally ill at the time to be wheeled down the aisle with me and didn't have to be webcammed in. Best surprise ever!

QOTW:best life experience is to check before I say anything to keep myself from having to give away money for something I should have checked on first, although they make great tax deductions

I think I am 1dpo but my temp dropped this morning so who knows. I had a +OPK and O pains last night.

In the dreaded 2WW. L and I leave tomorrow for a wedding in NC so I won't have my beta until I return on the 6th. Had some cramping and brown spotting today. Maybe implantation related?! Here's to hoping!

I did b/w this morning and just got a call that my progesterone levels are low so I start provera tonight. I'm hoping my period comes quick like last time I was on this so we can get this show on the road. QOTW: My best life experience was moving to be with DH (boyfriend at the time) to a place three hours from home where I knew nobody. I am a shy person and avoid conflict at all cost, so being thrown into a town four times the size of my hometown was a huge eye opener but very much needed. I feel like I am a little more outgoing, although still pretty shy, and I am holding my own. It's made starting two different jobs in two very different places a little easier.

QOTW: going to Australia 'alone' when I was 18. I went with a group called 'people to people' and I didn't know anybody. We all met in Los Angeles before our flight over to Australia and we spent two weeks there. I met some amazing people, did some things that I never thought that I would do, and there was something about going over there, not knowing anybody, that I think really helped me grow as a person.

Update:
I got an extremely faint BFP yesterday and this morning. I tested again an hour ago and it was a definite BFP!!!!! Now I'm a bit nervous as to the head count! Holy moly! Beta is 8/2.

I should probably move into the 'TTC with treatments' category since I am now taking BCPs for IVF #2. So far so good, with no unwelcome side effects. We'll see what happens when I start Lupron. We are going to do PGD this time because of DH's genetic condition and two failed FETs despite 'ideal conditions.

QOTD: My conversation to Judaism was the most difficult and also most positive experience of my adult life. My family was not at all supportive and my experience growing up was very different from the typical upper middle class, well educated Jewish family. The Catholicism of my parents' church and the school I attended did not resonate with me. I found the spiritual home , sense of belonging and community in Judaism and it has become a very important part of my identity and life.

So I'm scheduled for surgery on 8/14 to remove some scar tissue and will cycle (fingers crossed) shortly thereafter. Getting excited, though I'm nervous about the hysteroscopy.

QOTW: the birth of my son is the obvious answer but prior to that it was my 14 day honeymoon all over Italy!

I'm on CD4.  Going to do OPKs this month.  I have a second opinion appointment scheduled for the end of August.  Hopefully we can get the testing we need and save enough month to do another round of IVF (with immune treatments).
