SS because two things: 1) it''s not TECHNICALLY a Dustbuster.  It's an Electrolux electric sweeper with a detachable dust buster, but I find it MORE useless than a Dustbuster and 2) I don't rarely use it, I never use it.

I don't have DustBuster brand but I do own and use a hand vac.

I use it to vacuum my steps. Probably not as thorough but I have had many "incidents" using my vacuum and attachments on my stairs. MH basically bought me the hand vac (aka Dustbuster) to avoid having to pay for an ER trip. I'm clumsy. He's smart.

And it is awesome. I use it to clean all the dog hairs off the couch, suck the dust off our wooden blinds and other fun stuff. The brush is motorized and really grabs stuff. Love it.

Best of both worlds.  I can take the long part off and use it as a hand vac or leave it on and use it as a regular vacuum.

i looked it up...dust buster is a brand! it'd be like calling flavored gelatin "jello". we all know we all call it "flavored gelatin", no matter the brand...so calling any brand a dustbuster would be wrong.

We have this small hand vac but I have no idea where it is and haven't used it in years.

we have a dustbuster (I think an actual, literal dustbuster).  In our tiny apartment, I used to use it every day to quickly clean up cat hair, dry cat food, etc. Now that we have a house, it would take way to long to dustbust the whole thing, so I swiffer it and then use a good old fashioned broom and dustpan to pick up the piles. I also have a dyson animal canister vaccuum for the furniture.

Use my Dyson handvac to suck up the piles of dirt when I sweep my floors.  So much easier and a better job than a broom and dustpan.

I have a cheapo dirt devil hand vac that I love for quick messes, dog hair, and for vacuuming the dog's bed in-between washes.

We have one. I use it regularly but only for vacuuming the stairs. Not exactly invaluable, but handy.

I said I own a DustBuster. But it's actually a Dyson hand-held. I LOVE it and use it all the time.

We had one too. It was that weird beige/off-whitish color that was only available in the 80's.

Well, we got married in '09, but ours looks like the '07 model. My mom probably got it on clearance at BBB w/ a 30% off coupon.

@ajoyd, that's a pretty amazing timeline. the one my parents looks like 1979..i think it was the brownish offwhite, with red writing...i think. i could be wrong. i don't remember the charger color.

But we deft had that '79 looking one in my house as a kid. I remember the slidey button that unhooked the nosecone part of it. #Imold

@Ajoyd I never imagined I would need a Dust Buster timeline. I was wrong.

I totally recognize the 1979 model from growing up in the 80s. We used it a lot! I think my mom considered it a "household essential" because I remember getting an off-brand version one of the first Christmases that I had my own place. Ha!

We have one and I use it all the time. I use it for little messes instead of pulling out the vacuum, like if something spills in the car, crumbs in the pantry, hair on the counters in the bathroom. I'm a little clean obsessive, though.

I'm starting to wish I had a hand vac. I had one and got rid of it. Now I want one. But I want one that's better for stairs I think....

I use ours daily to get crumbs out of the high chair. It has an extra tube that flips out of the middle that is perfect.
