TTC After a Loss

@EKGibs (SIG WARNING)

SIG WARNING FOR ANY LURKERS. Also so much love to my ttcal ladies :-* :x

@EKGibs‌ I had to share these pics with you. The newest addition to my farm: peacocks! Dh's uncle got them (it's a male & female) and brought them to our house. Ummm thanks? The female is very skiddish, the male is so-so.

Anyways, look where I found him this morning hahaha! All I could think of was your adorable goats!

    So cool! Are they loud KMW? When I first moved to PA I lived with a friend who had peacocks on the farm and they were worse then a dozen roosters!

    Not yet (thankfully!) they've mostly been nesting around our pond, which is a fair distance from the house. I'm hoping they stay near the pond once they become noisy.

    I think he was spooked when he jumped up there this morning. He was at my sliding back door and I scared him. Then when I walked out the garage my chickens came running, which I think spooked him more. It was pretty neat seeing him jump on the roof through. I had no idea they could get that high so easily.

    Oh my goodness! They are beautiful! I said something once about wanting a couple of peacocks and got shot down because of the noise. Then we got guineas, and one of them is louder than all of the chickens by itself. Go figure :-? Thanks for sharing the pics! I'm glad you are doing well

  • Love the peacocks!  We live in suburban NJ and we have a peacock that roams around our neighborhood.  It's really odd since there are now farms around or anything nearby.  The neighbors don't know where he came from but he's been around for about 5 years (we have only lived there for 2).  He sleeps in the tree in front of our house most summer nights.

    I think he is beautiful but he can be loud and messy at times.  He is starting to lose his feathers now and they are everywhere!  (He seems to "shed" once a year)
