** Bible Study Check-In**

I am very sorry about missing the check-in last week.  We are having construction done on our house, and I have a million monitoring appts due to the sporadic contractions I have been getting.  Unfortunately, I do not think I will be able to lead the check-in for much longer due to time constraints.  I will lead this week and next week's check-in, and then I will have to step-down.  If anyone is interested in taking over, please let me know ASAP.  I would hate to see the check-in disappear!

1. Prayer concerns: that little one will continue happily baking.

2. Praises: I am so excited we're getting this work done on the house and even happier that it will be done before the baby arrives.

3. I think it is important for me to remember that I should trust The Lord in all things. Sometimes I think I know what is best for me, but I need to trust that He knows better.

1. Prayer Concerns: My grandfather is having major surgery this morning - he was scheduled to start at 8 AM central.  He has an abdominal aortic aneurysm that has to be surgically removed because his veins are not strong enough to go in laparoscopically and place stints to help it drain.  The doc is very confident he will survive the surgery, and has told my grandmother to keep her plans for a 60th wedding anniversary party for Oct. 11th of this year.  However, my grandpa is aging, and I know that the surgery they're performing is difficult for a young man to recover from, much less an old one.  I'm praying for the best possible result, but preparing myself mentally for the fact that he may not make it through the surgery.  My grandmother and aunt are at the hospital and will let me know as soon as they know anything.  

2. Praises: DH and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary yesterday, and my oldest is going to be 8 (?!?!?!?!) in just 3 days!!! How did that happen?!?!?! LOL I'm just so blessed beyond anything I deserve, and I'm so thankful I have such awesome family and friends!

Verse of the Week: Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. This  verse says a lot to me - Everything we do should be as if we are doing it to the Lord; if we allow Him to take the reins, He will direct our paths where they need to go; if we are unsure of how to accomplish something, take it to Him in prayer, and He will help us make it work.

@nyg2042 Keep cooking, LO! Yay for getting stuff done before baby comes! Such a wonderful feeling!

@bethelgal42 Praying for your LO to continue to grow and your supply to continue to provide for her.  Overtime is always a double-edged sword - love the extra money it brings in, but hate that the time is spent away from home.

Quick update: surgery went well this morning. A bit of a slow down due to clogged arteries but otherwise routine. Then he developed circulation issues in his right leg, so they took him back into surgery to put in a stint. They just finished that surgery and it went routinely as well.

I will continue to update as I get news. Thank you all so much for your prayers. They are working and they are deeply appreciated.
