so we're going camping this weekend and we're trying to figure out how to keep S warm at night. We're going tent camping, and we have contingency plans (i.e. sleeping in the car with the seats folded down) but we want to try and keep her in the PnP. She moves around all night long, so I don't think a toddler sleeping bag is going to work either because she'll either wiggle out of it, or it'll flip all onto her (and i'm still worried about her suffocating). it's going to down to the upper 50s, low 60s at night, so how would you all keep her warm?
any thoughts, ideas and/or suggestions are more than welcome!
maybe? S has never slept in a fleece sleeper so I have no idea how warm that will be? I like the layering though. I was considering that, plus a thick blanket under her mattress to help block some of the cold from the ground.
You probably still have time to order from Amazon; we like this sleep sack. It's one of the warmer ones Halo makes. You could pair it with warm footie PJs, and PP's suggestion of flannel sheets. I haven't gone camping yet with LO (we are in 2 weeks), but this is what we'll use.
We've only camped in a camper with Emmett, but it it pretty cold in there. We put him in cotton footed pjs with a fleece sleep sack. It worked well. You may need a little more than that though. Maybe a hat? Her little head might get cold without one.
we were going to try and see if her fleece winter-ish suit still fits, and if it does, we'll probably put her in that for overnight. definitely looking into the sleep sack ideas though. I suggested it to DH and he wanted to try the fleece suit first...silly men.
Re: camping -- what to do at night?
Edit-not a camper so just throwing an idea out there.
Could you try flanel sheets for the pnp?
