I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been getting cramps for about the past week. This I've thought was normal, but on Friday as I was going to sit down, I got a really bad cramp/pain in my right side. Since then, I have noticed increased cramping and pains particularly on my right side. Additionally, I have noticed that my baby is much less active than normal. He usually moves a lot, especially in the mornings and evenings. Lately, he has been moving less than he normally does, but still within the 'healthy' or 'normal' range for kick counts (10 in an hour at least once a day is what my doctor said). He doesn't move in the mornings much anymore, and moves less in general. I have no idea if these two things (the pains and less movement) are even linked, or anything to worry about. I've heard changes in movement patterns can be normal, and that cramping is common as well. Anyone know what could be going on? Should I be concerned? My next doctors appointment is a week away. Should I wait until then, or call as soon as possible?

Please call your doctor whenever you are unsure of the health of yourself or your LO. You are NOT bugging them. They are there to help you... and they CAN help you a lot better than internet strangers. The PP's point was not ridicule you or to be 'snotty'. I have to agree with PPs, it really is mind boggling to me that out of some misguided attempt at 'not being a nuisance' that some people will seek medical opinions from people over the internet before placing a phone call. Doesn't that seem a little ridiculous to you? Your doctor is there for you, use them!
