Teaching interview today! Does this outfit help me look non-preggish? ;) (**UPDATE in OP!**)

Hey everyone! Today's the day (forums.thebump.com/discussion/12401337/teaching-job-interview-monday-morning-disclosure)....interview's in about an hour and a half. How's this outfit to hide a 22 week bump? I will also be wearing spanx and support undies too, to help with sucking it in lol! TIA - I'll let you know how it goes!!

UPDATE!!!

2nd interview scheduled for 8/13 at 10AM! Hopefully I can still suck it in in 2 weeks for just an hour before I hopefully get an offer and can spill the beans!!! :)
A little nervous that this job would pay significantly less than my previous teaching job (coming from Boston Public, though - hubby and I got spoiled by their payscale) but I definitely think working part time next door to my home would be really beneficial to me and baby...so fingers crossed that this all works out! :)

I think you look good. However, I don't think it is a good idea to wear spanx and support panties while pregnant.

    Any reason why?

This. The added pressure on your uterus is constricting. You don't look the slightest pregnant above so I would not worry about adding any additional layers.

Congrats!  Good luck on the second interview.  You looked great in the pic, not pregnant at all.  In case you need ideas for the next interview, an open blazer works wonders too!

  • @aa98‌ that's exactly what I was going to suggest... An open blazer would be a great choice (albeit a little warm). You look great- I definitely wouldn't know you're pregnant! Good luck on the second interview! Also I agree that Spanx should be fine- they aren't really much tighter or more constricting than a belly support band (which I've been wearing during exercise), or a lot of yoga/exercise pants for that matter.
  • Congratulations on the second interview! Wishing you the best of luck on the position!

Congrats on the second interview! I had the same worry when I went in for a teaching interview (I was only 4 months pregnant so definitely not showing much) and wore a dressy tank with a few flowy layers to distract and an open blazer. - I completely understand wanting to hide it until you get an offer. I felt awkward hiding it but I wanted to be considered for my talents!

Glad to hear a positive outcome from a similar situation!!! Also, I don't know why, but the bolded line reminded me of this quote from Napoleon Dynamite:

    LOL :)

Anyway, thanks everyone! I'm not nervous about the interview, persay, but I am nervous about telling them just in case I do get an offer :-/ I feel really bad about it and don't want to be deceptive, but this job would be ideal for our situation and I don't want to chance it! I guess I can tell them that if/when the time comes...? I'm most nervous about the pregnancy lol so I guess it'll help to distract me from the interview jitters! I'll update again asap :)
