My toddler (who turned 2 in June) is a heavy wetter. So much so that she pees through her diaper at least once a day. I try to change her every 2 hrs or so, but that doesn't always stop her from soaking her diapers, her clothes, and occasionally the couch. And don't get me started in ON issues. (Though Sbish has not leaked the two times we've used it ON)
She leaked on the couch again today and DH actually suggested putting her in disposals =-O
We use BG 4.0s stuffed with 2 gCloths or a CBI; Grovia hybrids with a Grovia insert or CBI; and Best Bottoms with a hemp insert or CBI.
So what are we going wrong? Should we changing her every hour? Adding doublers? I would rather buckle down and get her potty trained than stick her in sposies. Help!
Re: CDing a toddler
Perhaps you have some repelling issues with your inserts? When she wets, does the insert feel heavy like it is full of pee?
If you really just have a super wetter, then look in to fitteds for daytime (even something like GMD workhorse) and wool covers. The wool is much better at containment of pee than PUL.

CBI = charcoal bamboo insert.
The Grovia do gap sometimes, but I try to get a good seal and check those more frequently since they are less waterproof.
When she pees through, the inserts are always fully saturated, unless there was a clearclear leg gap.
I'd love to try workhorses for her, but unfortunately, I don't think hubby would want me to buy more diapers. But I may have to look at flats if I can sell off some of the gDiaper stash.
Do you know if you can buy kawaii bamboo inserts separately?

Yes, you can. I got 10 bamboo inserts in a mothers day sale last year and I use them as doublers overnight, in flats during the day, or in a simplex for naps or long outings with questionable diapering access.
ETA: I did use them to stuff my sunbaby pockets for a while, but they are so flimsy on their own. I prefer flats in the pockets.
I've been checking her frequently today and doing potty breaks, so that's helping. 3 successful trips to the potty!
