Baby is here!

My baby arrived on Monday at 10:27 am! He was 9lb 3 oz, 22 inches, Elijah Emanuel. Beautiful with lots of dark hair, looks like his daddy. My labor wasn't even 6 full hours. I am so proud of myself..I had my natural VBAC using Hypnobirthing and it was the most amazing experience of my life. Totally peaceful and beautiful. I did take a first cloth pic of him, but will have to upload later.

We had some issues in the hospital with his breathing, so we had to stay an extra day. Then yesterday we were re-admitted due to jaundice. We stayed overnight but are back at home now. It's been an exhausting, crazy week but still managed to use cloth most of the time. However, I have to start buying diapers already b/c many of the newborn sizes are just fitting him. I have to tri-fold the GMD pfs because it's too hard to fold them, they just fit around him.

Today I am doing my first CD laundry!. Oh and guess what? DH offered to do it for me. He is smitten with our boy.

Thank you everyone! I have a question about the washing. I did a first rinse and spin. I put everything in one load-realized that was too much. I opened the washer to check it and still saw some bits of poo, so I did another rinse and spin.

Then I took out some of the load before i did the actual wash, so they would get clean. I noticed some tiny bits of poo still in the washer. Is this normal? I am doing the wash now....

DH & I took a hypnobirthing class & read the book. It helped in between contractions. I could totally relax for a minute or two. It also helped DH learn how to help me. He's an amazing labor coach & could reduce the pain by half for me. @Chickypoo2468‌ , I was still yelling, claiming to be dying & wanting to do my own C section during the contractions.
