TTC after 35

Question about temps (siggy warning)

Does anyone O without a temperature spike? I used an O test this month for the first time and it registered a peak / O, however, my temp has not changed at all. I am new to this all and am not sure if this is concerning or what.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Question about temps (siggy warning)

  • Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, you're fine. The peak reading means that you're going to ovulate in the next day or two, not that you already have.  Good luck! :)

Did you just get the peak reading last night?  If so, you may just get the temp shift tomorrow of the next day.  If you got the peak like a week ago, it is possible that you had an LH surge and your body prepared to ovulate but didn't.

  • @tlc35‌ had the best answer, I totally agree with her
  • I O two days after my positive OPK. Also, the temp spike after O is not always dramatic. Here is FF's discussion: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Temperature-Rise-and-Ovulation.html

  • Ok, thanks everyone. I should be getting a call from my doctor today regarding the blood test that I took last week.
