3rd Trimester

If you registered at Walmart

Hi Ladies,

If you registered at Walmart, you might get doubles or even triples of your requested items. My DH's cousin is due one week before us amd we both have registered at Walmart. So, I went out this morning and shopped for her baby shower. 90% of the items are said to be "available in most stores"...yeah right! Of the 90%..I'd say that 10% of the items were actually in the store. On top of that, if you don't print out the registry and bring it with you to the check-out, then they may not be marked off your registry. That means that nobody will know if they items have been purchased. I'm not looking forward to the idea that I'll have a newborn and possibly many returns to make within 30 days. Ugh!

Re: If you registered at Walmart

  • Just f.y.i., you have to print out the registry and bring it to the checkout to be taken off no matter where you register. Not just WalMart.  I've noticed that Target has a lot of stuff that's only available online, so I tried not to register for that stuff.  I just went to the store and scanned stuff there.

  • I went to our local Walmart to select our items. Today I went to the store on the other side of town (8 mile difference) and they didn't have some of the same items. They're not 'hard to find' items...things like bottles and even the humidifier.

    It's just a heads-up.

  • I went to Walmart to register so the stuff would actually be there. Other than BRU, most of the places around here, including Target, JCPenney, etc have most of the stuff online only.  I've gotten duplicates no matter where I registered, but most places were good about doing returns/exchanges.
