Hi ladies! We had our first ultrasound on Wednesday and found out we are having one baby. We only saw the yolk sac so far, but we hope to hear a heartbeat next week.
Sending lots of love and hugs and all the luck in the world. Miss you
Hi ladies! As always, big hugs all around for you!
Things are going good here. D is 5 weeks old and becoming more aware of the world every day! He loves to sit outside and he is learning to like bath time, lol. He can smile at me now, which just melts my heart and reminds me that all the pain of IF was totally worth it.
QOTW: it still stings for me when I see pregnancy announcements, not as much, but I don't think the pain of IF ever really leaves you.
Here is a pic of our little Doug and that awesome smile!

I just wanted to say that I really think about you all a lot. There are so many new "faces" on the board and I wish you all the best in your journeys.
Im happy to announce we are on the home stretch of the 1st tri. "Dolce" and I are doing well. One thing I will say is that going from months and months of treatments right into a rough 1st tri is not the easiest thing to do, but I'll take whatever this pregnancy throws at me if it means getting to have my LO. We have our NT scan next week, so I'll have a more up to date picture for you then, and will probably start doing HDBD photos as well.
QOTW: Most pregnancy announcements didnt bother me before. I think it was more related to who was was pregnant. For some reason, and sometimes out of the blue, certain people announcing would just be the worst for me. More than anything, its the constant hourly pregnancy related posts that bother me the most. I just want to reach through the computer and slap some woman. That being said, I still feel the same way now that Im pregnant. I havent really outed myself on FB yet, so any post I make is very cryptic. Hence why I call baby Dolce. Most people just assume Im really into the fashion line Dolce & Gabanna. If you Im pregnant, you get the post. If you dont know Im pregnant it still makes sense in your mind, and no one is offended.

Hi ladies. I am 29 weeks along and really going into full gear regarding getting the nursery ready for Schroeder's arrival.
QOTW: It really depends on the person and my relationship to them. Announcements from close friends and family have always made me happy (as I know that I will be able to interact with the LO once they are born). However, the random ones from people I don't know as well no longer get to me as much. Some of them still do - especially if the parents are ambivalent about having a child. I know that an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy can be a shock to people, but after struggling for so long, it is still hard to hear people talk about it.

8w5d. Twins are both doing good, 2.5 more weeks of PIO - can't wait, 3 more weeks of weekly ultrasounds but I do love seeing both babies and hearing their HBs.
For those still TTC, I strongly urge you to take your wisdom teeth out before you conceive, I didn't know how much it would hurt, apparently it's very common for bleeding gums, wisdom tooth irritation and wisdom teeth to start pushing out (for those who don't have them out yet like me) when pregnant. Oragel works only temporarily and even though Tylenol is allowed, it does make me uneasy taking it too many times a day or for long
@cls78 If I use the timeline on your signature, which has been very helpful, I have 3 ultrasounds left- So I guess somewhere around the 15th of August.

BRINLEY AND RILEY LONG. Born November 20, 2014 at 32 wks 3 days. 4lbs7oz and 4lbs5oz. 1 month NICU time for "B's" and growing and feeding. Now healthy, thriving, beautiful little girls! pg
I'm 16 weeks and 4 days. All is well. We just went to a family wedding this past weekend and I made sure to wear clothes to hide my little bump that is starting to show. My sister-in-law is 5 weeks ahead of me and is definitely showing, it was a little weird hearing everyone congratulate her and not me. But I'm pretty dead set on waiting until after our anatomy scan to announce. Just want to make sure all is well. We will be sending announcements in the mail using photos we got taken last week. I may post a few on fb, but not for a few more weeks.
QOTW: I'd say no, but I never had an issue with pregnancy announcement/birth announcements for the most part. I have always been happy for other people. The only time I remember feeling horrible was when I was in the middle of cycling for IVF and was in a room when a co-worker announced she was pregnant after a month of trying. I think for me, a lot of my reaction at that time was due to the hormones I was on, because I would cry all the time at every little thing. Besides that one time, I've been good. That same co-worker has been a good person for me to talk to about IVF actually and is super supportive, really happy for her!
My hubby and I did announcement photos a week ago! We hired a photographer (who will also do maternity and newborn photos). We decided we are going all out, this may be our one and only pregnancy and IF isn't going to stop us. And money wise, the cost of a photographer is nothing in comparison to IVF and we will have these memories forever. I won't post the photo on here because I know announcements can be hard for some, but if you want to see it, you may check it out on fb under Jennifer Hosking photography. That is the only photo we have seen, we are still waiting on the rest, which I hope might come today It was fun hiring a photographer (we didn't even do this for our wedding lol). So definitely enjoying this special occasion!
