I don't think this varies state to state but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I applied for SNAP and TANF. Had my interview and they said when I get CS, the max I can receive of it is $100. The rest is taken to repay TANF. So I said to the lady, what if I get $1000 a month in TANF and you guys only give me $300 a month? You guys take $900? She said yes. Made ZERO sense to me that they would take more than what they gave but whatever. I decided to drop the TANF and not take the risk. She also said you can't have more than a $600 income a month so if I had gotten $1000 in CS, I wouldn't qualify for TANF anyway. Your child also has to be up to date on all vaccines.
Just thought I'd pass along in case anyone else is considering.
