Trying to Get Pregnant

BBT Chart- Please Help!!

Hi girls, I'm new to this website and have been TTC for the last 7 months. I've been charting for the last 3 months and have found there to be lots of inconsistencies as far as temp rise and ovulation. This is the first month I used BBT and OPK together. According to my + OPK and FF, Ovulation occurred on CD20. But this morning I had a big spike and realized that my temp has spiked on CD 25 on all my charts. Does this mean I don't ovulate until CD 25? Ugh I'm so confused! Any advice is helpful. I believe I included a link to my chart but not sure if it worked.

Re: BBT Chart- Please Help!!

  • From what I understand, ovulation day can vary each month. Many people range a few days each month. Your luteal phase, however, will remain more consistent month to month. If you usually ovulate on CD 25 but ovulated on CD 20 this month, it may mean that your cycle will be shorter than your overall norm.
Also, FF will sometimes adjust as time goes on and it gets more information from you. It can be confusing, but hang in there and try not to panic. And as always: when in doubt, have sex!

  • I'm going to stick with FFs date. It always helps me put into perspective about that cover line. Since all the temps after CD 20 are above the cover line, then I'd stick with CD 20!
