FET date

Hopefully on Sunday I will be starting my medications for my FET cycle. As if I didn't worry enough, now I am concerned about the date I was given for the transfer. My husband and I decided to schedule a trip 2 days after the date to hopefully get some relaxation and have a stress free zone. Now of course, I'm freaking out what if the transfer date changes due to my reactions to the medication. My nurse advised that at my lining check, if I am under a certain measurement that another medication may need to be given.

I am wondering from ladies who have had a FET cycle, and maybe been delayed... How long are you typically delayed for or does it really all depend? I am hoping that if there is a delay, that I could still go on my trip, and just have the transfer when returning.

Would love to hear from you ladies... Help this anxiety filled brain! :)

It definitively all depends. Relax - because it is out of your control and you will have to wait and see. Things can totally go according to plan or they may not, but there is no way to know.

I was delayed by 3 weeks! My lining would not get thick enough, so first we gave it another week of estrogen exposure to see if it would grow - it didn't. Then, I was prescribed Viagra for a week - thankfully, it worked - however, I had a week long trip scheduled (assuming my transfer would have been 2 wks earlier). Sooo we waited until we returned from the trip. The good news is that with a medicated FET cycle there is control over when the transfer is. If your trip falls on transfer date, then they will just hold off on starting the progesterone so that it will fall on a date after you return. You should still be able to go on the trip either way! Good luck!

@gnl42 and I have had experiences at the opposite end of the spectrum. My FET has gone exactly according to plan, although the transfer hasn't occurred yet. Thus far everything has been right on track, so the transfer date hasn't changed at all. We scheduled ours to coincide with a vacation (we're cycling 6.5 hours from home), and the timing was nerve-racking to me, too!
