what do you think?

When I picked Emma up from daycare today I noticed her outfit had almost what looks like a bleach mark on it. I never use bleach so I'm almost positive it didn't happen at home.

When I got home, my FI said she smelled like cleaning products but I honestly always thought she kind of smelled like that when she gets home from DC, but I have a really strong sense of smell so idk. He is super laid back so it kind of concerned me when he said that.

To me, it sort of looks like she got sprayed with something? I don't know... What do you think? I don't think they'd do anything on purpose but even if it's an accident they should have at least notified us or mentioned it.

  • Is that across the bum? Could be from diaper that urine bleached it maybe?

  • Loading the player...
  • I know our DC uses a light bleach solution water to clean the mats and toys (basically a cheaper ver of the Clorox anywhere spray). Maybe they were cleaning up a little earlier than normal? I would guess they didn't even realize, but I would be annoyed. We are splitting our days b/t two daycare ATM and one of them never buts her bibs on and her clothes come home stained All.the.time. It makes me crazy. Clothes are expensive!
  • The child care centers that I regulate use a bleach and water solution to sanitize their high chairs, tables, changing tables, etc. So like PP said, they may have sat her on the changing table before it dried or maybe she brushed up against something they had cleaned.

  • Maybe I'm in the minority here but I'd be concerned that my kid came home smelling like it quite often. I'd be worried about how strong the odor is at daycare (that my lo is inhaling) and that the smell is still lingering at home.

  • Also, our kids put everything in their mouths. What if there was remnant bleach on a toy that went in her mouth?

  • @deedee1017‌ agree. They are prob making their solution too strong. OP I think it's worth a mention.

This! If you can smell it after they have clean with it, then it probably is not mixed right.

  • Omg thanks ladies I really didn't even think about these things. I mean she doesn't wreak of it I just figure she smells like DC. I'm sure they are constantly cleaning. I didn't think of her leaning on something... @bkeane619‌ I did think pee too LOL.

I think I'll mention it either way. It just made me nervous!
