To HPT or not before BETA?!

Tomorrow is my BETA and I don't know if I should do a HPT or not before. I took one yesterday 12piui and got a BFN. But maybe my HCG levels weren't high enough. Not sure what to do. I still have hope for a positive outcome but feeling very anxious and scared.

Thought?! Ideas ?!

    I would. No reason not to as far as I'm concerned.


     

    TTC since July 2012 
    BFP 5/22/13. Lap. to remove ectopic and dx with endo. 6/16/13

    RE consult: June 2014

    DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube

    Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN

    November 2014: Clomid+trigger+IUI again=BFP!

    BFP 11/28/14 MC discovered 1/14/15

    I personally like to take a test the morning of beta so I know what to be prepared for when I get the phone call.

    I would test with first morning urine because I wouldn't want to wait with baited breath until the afternoon phone call. But if you feel better holding hope (I personally hate hope, but that's me, lol), then it could be great to get a surprise BFP call! :)

    I think AF is making her appearance. Not sure though. I've read that some spotting isn't a BFN but in my heart I'm starting for feel this cycle didn't work. Waiting another 24 hours is just going to drag out.

    I'm prepping emotionally already for a BFN. I think AF is making her appearance shortly and that will just be the final confirmation of it not working. Ugh feeling heart broken already and that's without the BETA.

    Cycle 1: O CD 25=bfn
    Cycle 2: O CD 48=bfn
    Cycle 3: Anovulatory/Provera =120 days!
    Cycle 4: Anovulatory/Prometrium=127 days! RE consult 6/16
    Me: Anov/poss. pcos?  HSG=normal/SA= Normal 
    July/Aug. 2014= Femara+trigger+TI=BFP!!
    Beta #1@ 16dpo=626!! Beta #2=1510
    Ultrasound @ 5w6d=heartbeat at 110!
    Ultrasound @ 6w6d =heartbeat at 131!

    AF is officially here. Feeling sooooo heartbroken. Maybe I was naive for thinking it would work on IUI#1 but knowing that if was a bust breaks my heart.

    1 cycle Clomid 50 mg + TI - no response stair-stepped to Clomid 75 mg + Ovidrel + TI

    1 cycle Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel + IUI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim + Ovidrel + TI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Folistim + Ovidrel + IUI

    1 cycle Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim  - no response, repeated Letrozole 7.5 mg + 150 mg Follistim + Ovidrel + IUI = success! 12/2014

    Beta 1 - 15 dpiui, 324, Beta 2 - 17 dpiui 750. Twins!!

    Thanks Ladies. rough night and morning to say the least. went in for the BETA and told them about AF. did my ultrasound this morning and now gearing up for 2nd attempt. Cant give up. more meds, shots, ultrasounds and drs. visits but it will be worth it one day.

    Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
