Had my annual exam at my ob-gyn today, and after 4 years off of birth control (2 years officially trying and 2 years not preventing), I was given information about moving ahead with fertility testing. I started birth control at 15 for symptoms of endometriosis and stopped at 23, knowing that it could take a while for my body to regulate and to get pregnant. My husband and I are both 27, and are ready for this step, but I am also feeling a little down about the fact that things have come to this point. I knew this was what would happen when I went to my appointment today, but it still feels like a slap from reality. Just waiting to hear back on when our initial consultation appointment will be and looking forward to getting help and answers.
Re: Newbie taking steps towards fertility testing
Isn't there a thread somewhere that has a list of questions of what to ask for your first appt? I'm mobile so I can't search.
p.s. I love the color of your bridesmaids' dresses!

Welcome and good luck! I'm glad you got linked up with an RE.
The link @LSantay provided is good! Check it out. Also, I made a list of questions from various sites, including:
https://www.givf.com/specialfeatures/yourinitialconsultation.shtml
They may want to start labs right away, so make sure you know whether or not you should be fasting before your appointment. Bring a pad of paper and a pen to jot notes. I asked about lifestyle changes I can make before starting medical treatment, what treatment-as-usual entails for my condition, etc.
I was fortunate enough to have a working diagnosis by the time I went to my RE, so I did a lot of research on my diagnosis and asked questions pertaining specifically to PCOS. It sounds like you have an idea what might be going on with you, so do some research on endometriosis and ask questions about that.
I tend to over-prepare for things, so my approach might not be everyone's style
