Okay, yesterday was a crappy day for me and I need a vent. I had scheduled my diabetes clinic and OB appointment back to back. My OB knew I had clinic first and had basically told me to call if they were running behind and they could move my appointment (the two offices are literally across the street from each other). I hadn't anticipated it being and issue as I had managed to get the second appointment of the day at the clinic and how behind can they possibly get by the second appointment right? Wrong!
My appointment was schedule for 8:20 am. I showed up at 8:05. Clinic consists of three quick visits, the diabetes nurse, dietician and endo. Usually each takes 15 minutes or so with maybe a 10 minute wait between. Well at 9 am I finally got in to see the nurse... OB appointment was 9:30. I'd dragged the hubby with me because he wanted to hear the heartbeat at the OB's office. Keep in mind he works nights.
Long story short I was in tears because I was so stressed (over reaction I know but I was tired hormonal and really frustrated) by the time I got out with the nurse. Good news is a crying pregnant lady gets rushed through the rest of the appointment pretty quickly. We did make it to the OB at about 9:40 and my wonderful doctor had managed to move around appointments so she should still me.
My frustration is how the hell does an office get 40 minutes behind after 20 minutes!? I don't mind waiting to see a doctor but that is a bit much for me. Leason learned of course, I am never leaving that tight of a buffer between appointments again!
Anyone else encountered wait times that just seem to defy logic at the doctors?
