Just watched a biopsy

I don't know what I was thinking!  I just watched one being done online and I started crying!  I don't know whether I'm going to pass out or vomit!  I'm freaking out about mine on Friday.  They are going to have to sedate me lol

Nooo!!! Why did you do that?! If I did that I would have never been able to go through any of the procedures I've had done!!

I would call them and ask them for some Valium. They won't sedate you for a biopsy; if they were planning on giving you sedation, they would have already given you instructions for it!

Call them and get the drugs!

I know, I know!  I don't know what the heck I was thinking!  They are giving me Valium for sure but they are also planning to have anesthesia on hand in case I/we need it.  I'm making it known right now....I'm needing it LOL

::shakes head:: Why??? Lol. Good luck tomorrow!!! Hoping its not that bad. I would also be taking a xanax so I could sleep. Oh I'm such a baby I would be begging for anesthesia

Well we are back home from Florida.  Dr. Duffy is great and Nan is just AMAZING!  I was really happy that they let DH back with me this time and Nan was also in the room with me too.  Granted it wasn't a transfer so that may be the reason for them being there.

Nan gave me my breakfast (Valium) when I got there at 7 am but the biopsy didn't happen until around 8-8:30 so it definitely had time to kick in.  He started with an u/s which I didn't even realize was happening until he started telling me things that he was seeing lol!  Never thought I wouldn't recognize that one!  On day 15 the u/s showed my lining to be 7mm but it was only 4mm at biopsy.  I definitely don't respond to the vaginal estrace as well as the patches, I'm hoping they switch it back.  Then came the biopsy....the catheter went in smooth but the actually biopsy was horrible.  It was so painful and idk who said it was just a second and it would be over but it was more like 35-45 seconds and I felt them all!  He said he needed 10 more seconds and to count backwards and it would be over....Nan did the counting, I definitely did the screaming and crying.

Honestly though, the first FET I had with Winslow was even more painful than this biopsy though.  I seriously don't know what was happening down there last time for just a transfer.  Dr. Duffy said that the Valium helped calm me down right after but did nothing for the pain and relaxing during.  I don't think he wanted to see me without the Valium at that point LOL  His only guess was that the radiation has caused my uterus/cervix to be hypersensitive to everything.

As for the next transfer, Nan said that we can definitely do anesthesia and they won't question a thing, it will be my choice at this point.  Dr. Duffy said that since the catheter went in smoothly and he didn't have to us a tenaculum or anything, he really thinks that a transfer with him will be painless but he will leave it up to me.  My husband on the other hand, was about ready to jump in and stop everything.  He's really tired of seeing me in so much pain during all this.  He said that we are using anesthesia and he will pay anything for it.

That's my update....thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!  Now we just have to wait for the results.  I'm going back on the Nuvaring to prep for the next step and move forward as soon as they come back.

Glad to hear it's over and you survived sorry it was so painful!!
