OP, if you've read Taking Charge of your Fertility, there's actually a section related trying for a girl vs. boy (similar to what @allisong1187 was saying). But all disclaimers mentioned above still apply.

I just watched that ep and Marshall wanted a boy, so it was fish and an icy ball dip with facing one direction, Lily wanted a girl so it was hot vag and lemons with facing the opposite direction.  I really hope OP tries this and reports back to us!

I have a girl & a boy. One was (guesstimated) a CD 23 baby (DD) out of a 30 day cycle. DS was a CD14 "textbook" Ovulation out of a 44 day cycle.

It's all a crap shoot IMHO. The only way to be sure is to adopt.

There is an ancient method to ensure the conception of a girl.  Each step must be followed exactly. Even numbers are essential to this process as two X chromosomes are present in females.  First, find 6 lychee berries. Pulse them 2 times in the blender.  Add 2 cups of water and 2 teaspoons of honey. Pulse 2 more times.  Then add 2 mint leaves.  Pulse 4 times.  Pour into a glass and drink.  Do this 2 times a day for the 2 weeks leading up to your fertile time.

During your fertile time, make a paste of 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 mint leaves, 2 tsp water and 2 tsp almond extract. Strip naked and rub this on your body.  Standing under the moonlight - remember that the moon is an important symbol in fertility - raise your arms to the sky and turn counterclockwise 6 times. Fall to your knees and hit the earth 4 times with your palms.  Stand again and turn 6 times clockwise.

Do this each night of your fertile window.

Precisely!  It actually works best with an ancient blender ... one from the 50s is best.  If you don't have a blender you could always just use a mortar and pestle

Ugh, I have a rant.  I understand possibly wanting one sex over the other.  But as somebody that works in a special needs preschool, boy or girl doesn't matter, as long as it's a healthy baby.  And to make it known explicitly is just upsetting to me.

But seriously, you can't do anything to increase your chances of having a girl.  Most of the women on this board would probably agree that a baby of either sex is better than no baby.
