Fake out on OPK? (warning child mentioned)

Hi all - I had my IUD removed on June 26th and immediately started in with the OPKs (yes, I am JUST SLIGHTLY obsessive and type-A).  I had strong positive OPKs on July 3 and 4.  Here I am, 18 days later, no period and stark white BFNs on FRERs for the past few days.  I am not charting (my DD is a terrible sleeper and routinely wakes me in the night, so charting is not accurate for me, unfortunately).  Any theories on what's up with this?  I know it's possible that my body geared up to ovulate but didn't actually do it.  Wondering if the IUD removal could also be a factor.  Any advice appreciated.  Thanks!

I had a 2 month period after having my IUD removed. It can take up to 6 months for your body to return to a normal cycle.

Yes, exactly as you stated your body geared up but didn't deliver.  Sorry I too had extended amount of time after IUD removal in June of 2012 before my cycles regulated.  It does happen though.  I suggest trying to temp when you can/to the best of your ability even if sleep is interrupted, continue with opk's and chart cf and cp... best wishes!
