Music for LO

What are you listening to in the car or at home?  Looking for some new stuff.

DD really like the Putumayo kids CDs.  She especially likes the folk ones.

One thing I personally don't like are songs sung by kids. Ugh.

I just checked out a Sesame Place greatest hits CD, too, so we'll give that a try.

We listen to Olaf (Frozen), Sunday School songs (sung by kids but not terribly obnoxious) or the country stations on the radio. At home we listen to classic country. Anything from Hank Sr and Patsy Cline to Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson.

  • She listens to what we do for the most part. She jams out hard to 80s music, just like her mama.

She really loves the Hey Ho song by the lumineers and the sleeping with a friend song by neon trees (I think it's by them anyways)

  • She listens to what we listen to. She likes stuff to dance to. I like rap (fftc?) so I've been playing the radio edits to avoid swearing. This morning we did some dancing to 2 Chainz.
  • In the car it's my music. We have been borrowing CD's from the library and pirating them. We have some Raffi, a few others, and all of Rick Charette.

I feel like I am making a lot of Maine references today. Does anyone know who Rick Charette is? If not you guys are really missing out.
  • They listen to what I listen to and have no problems with it. I would want to stab my eyeballs out if I had to listen to kids music for too long. We watch movies that have enough songs in them so that fills the kid music quota.
