She keeps on doing what she was doing most of the time. Sometimes she just stops and cries this sad little cry like her whole world just stopped turning and I can't help but laugh. It doesn't last long and then she finds something else to do.
DS most definitely knows what it means... depends on what he's doing as to whether or not he stops and listens. Usually he looks at us and starts crying crocodile tears for a bit, then realizes he's not going to get what he wants and redirects his attention. We laugh that he's trying to use his charm already.
No reaction unless I physically stop her from whatever she is doing and then the reaction ranges from nothing to fill blown tantrum (usually when food is involved)

Your reply coupled with your siggy gave me a funny visual.
He acts all startled and looks around to me and then gives me a slow, sly little smile and then reaches out to whatever he's not supposed to be touching... #itsadorableandimasofty
Ethan smiles at me like I just said the funniest thing in the world. He will laugh. If I swat his hand away from something he does the same thing. If H says no then it seems to do more good.
Mostly ignores it, sometimes DH gets just the right tone and he will start to cry. But mainly just stares at you for a second and keeps doing whatever he was doing.
She laughs like it is the funniest thing ever. If we physically remove her or make her stop, she still laughs like it is the most fun game you could ever play...
He's a pretty good listener. Sometimes he'll cry his sad fake tears and then finds a toy to play with. He now knows he is not allowed to go into the kitchen. He stops right at the entry way and waits for us to come back into the living room.
I try to say no no Emma, but she doesn't get that. When I say no! She will back away sit down and look at me like "I wasn't doing anything" and then comes the tears
we don't use the word no...we say things like "not right now", "you're going to hurt yourself/mommy", "that's not nice" "let's try this instead" ....etc.

Thanks for posting that! I was trying to figure out things to say but feel like a long sentence is way too wordy for her to understand. When she pulls my hair I say do nice and she gets that..
He usually grins and flashes dimples. If I follow it up with removing whatever is triggering the "no" (barstool, my hair, etc) there are tears and wails.
Should he respond to it?? I'm starting to panic the same way I did when I read a post that someone's O13 baby uses a spoon already. My baby is pretty much like
