Intro!

hello all! I used to be super active on the ttc and 3t boards, but had to step away from it when it all got a little too real with our infertility. Now I'm back, seeing as no one can quite understand what you're going through like people who have been there! So hi- i'm Nikki; my husband is Jacob. We are an Alabama couple who began the adoption process in January. So far, we are right in the middle of our home study, in the paperwork/individual interview stage. We recently got our FBI clearances back and it was so rewarding to actually see ourselves moving forward and hitting milestones in the process! We are taking things slow and steady, giving ourselves plenty of time to prepare and save up money. We hope to have the home study (including the home visit) complete by the fall. 

In the meantime, we stay busy working and traveling. We have 2 cats who are like our children. We love watching sports, going swimming, and cooking together. Another fun hobby of ours recently has been designing and setting up our nursery. We hope it will be filled with a little one soon! 

I am so looking forward to getting to know yall and following your journeys!

Welcome! We started our adoption journey February 2013, and were matched March 2014, and are 3 weeks 2 days from meeting our little man! It's going to happen for you and it's so exciting!!!

Thanks, yall! We are getting more and more excited as the days go on. Just turned in a huge chunk of paperwork yesterday to our social worker- moving right along!!
