Hi Ladies,

Hope it's okay if I join you all over here! I just got back my third beta result today (8545!) and it's finally sinking in after doing IVF with ICSI and transferring one!

I think my EDD is around 3/21/14. My ultrasound is in two weeks and I was wondering what to expect.... I noticed the time is early and right before monitoring times so I'm assuming I won't see my RE? Will I see her again or just staff for checkups? Will I see a heartbeat then or will that come later? I'm assuming my DH should be there for this, right?

Welcome and congrats. No idea about your ultrasound. Mine were always late morning and I saw a doctor afterwards, not always mine. If your around 6 weeks you might see a heartbeat. Good luck!

Congratulations and welcome!  We saw a heartbeat at our 7 week u/s. 

I never saw the RE again, it was just nurses and u/s techs.

Yay! Welcome & congrats! We heard the heartbeats at 6w2d! At my practice, I always saw my RE. He did all the ultrasounds. I graduated at 8w & then OB at 10w.

Congrats and welcome! My RE waitsuntil at least seven weeks for US to be sure he can expect to see a heartbeat, but there are lots of REs that look earlier. That was actually the last time I saw him - he told me how long to keep taking the PIO and transferred me to the OB who I started seeing about a week later.

Welcome & congrats!

The u/s was always done by the techs and then I either met with the RE or NP to discuss results & how I was doing. If I remember, we heard the heartbeats around 7 weeks. I was there until 9 weeks and then graduated to my Ob during the 10th week.

Congrats! Funny...my ultrasounds during stims were always with an ma/tech but since the positive, my RE has scanned both times. Should see a HB by 6 weeks...good luck!

Congratulations! For my u/s, my RE did all of them. I think each office does them differently, but I'm sure no matter what, you're RE will be hearing how you're doing and keeping up with you!

Hi and congratulations! No idea about the U/S questions, because we haven't had our first U/S yet, either. We'll have our's in two weeks, too! I am excited but nervous. DH will be there, too.

Welcome & congratulations! We saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks & heard it at 7. We saw our RE for both. I think by week 8 we were at OB. Since then I've had 2 more ultrasounds at week 12 & 20. I think my next is at 32 or 33 weeks.

Thanks! I tested at the very last minute and posted on the last update, but that was all. I didn't leave a BFP post on IF and sorta snuck quietly over here. Glad to see you here, too!

Welcome and congrats. Not sure about the ultrasound. I know my RE won't even allow me to schedule mine in his days off. He wants to see them all himself.

Congrats! I haven't had a sit-down-at-a-desk-in-the-office visit with the RE after a BFP, but the docs do the u/s at my office so I do see them then. I like to bring DH - he had to be there for the bad parts so I wanted him there for the good parts. Best of luck!!
