The pressure is on!

Unfortunately this weekend, we went to my fiancé’s grandfather’s funeral. After the funeral, random family members were coming up to him and reminding him he is the last man in the family that can carry on their very traditional Algerian last name, and that we absolutely HAVE to have a boy! He has like 15 female cousins and he is the only male, so the pressure is on.

His big sister spoke up when my fiancé was being surrounded by people still pestering him about having a boy, and she goes “He can easily have a girl, and still carry on the name. She just has to be a lesbian that gets IVF. Now leave him alone!” 

Haha! That shut them up. 

And sidenote: We don't care what sex the baby is. We just want to be able to have one!

Oh my gosh........lol.

So sorry......but funny story. Poor guy....a family of nothing but ladies!!! lol

@kirstenalecia - Yeah...it's interesting. He is constantly the center of attention being the only guy around! But you know, with that many females in the family, the chances of having a girl are pretty damn high! lol

Hmmm.  FWIW, I kept my name when I got married.  DD has it as a (second) middle name, as will baby #2, if he/she materializes.  I know that's not quite the same, but you have lots of options no matter what.  Good luck!
