EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? Oct 27th, 26 weeks, head of lettuce

Appts/ Updates? Had a great appointment on Thursday. No u/s, but got to hear LO's hearbeat again on Doppler. My next u/s is in less than 3 weeks though! Can't wait to see the little guy

How are you feeling? Sick! Was battling a sore throat last week that I seemed to have defeated and thought I was in the clear, but now I have a chest cold and am all congested. Drinking lots of peppermint tea as we speak!

What are you craving? Chicken noodle soup I suppose, haha.

@starmile I love your go-getter attitude about the upcoming birth! I hope I feel so brave and ready when it's close to my time.

Also, New Zealand was always one of my top travel destinations, too! My reasons are kind of dorky, though... I want to visit so I can see the filming locations of my favorite TV show (Xena), and movies (Lord of the Rings)

@starmile New Zealand is also on my list of places to visit! I took the Hypnobirthing class for my first. I never got to use it (emergency c) but my husband still uses the techniques when he visits the dentist.

My u/s went great! Which was a huge relief! Hb of 167 measuring a few days behind, but I'm not changing my due date, because it will all change again, so what is the point?

EDD: 2/16/15 10weeks Prune, I think.

Next OB appt is 8/7, and we should be able to use the Doppler.

I have been tired but not as nauseous, so I will take it!

Craving grapes and garlic bread grilled cheese with American and Swiss cheeses (super healthy, I know)


QOTW: I would travel to Mauritius. It's a small island off the coast of Africa. It looks like paradise.
Once I saw an advertisement for a year long cruise around the world for $180,000. It stopped in 75 countries or something. I'm not sure if I am a cruise person or not, but that sounded pretty cool.

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? October 27th, 26 weeks! Eggplant

Appts/ Updates? Go back for the real GD test Thursday.

How are you feeling? Exhausted. I ran around all weekend with family who drove up from NY for the shower. It was a blast but I am sore.

What are you craving? Pasta salad and watermelon

QOTW: Pretending money is no object, what is your dream vacation destination? Bonus points if you include pics! Italy!! I have always wanted to go for the food and the art. It is a dream I hope to make come true later in the future.

@deezidee04‌ Hey Due Date buddy! It was an absolute blast. My sisters made a bunch of diaper cakes and diaper owls. The entire place looked like a small forest. The kids had face painting and the adults had some fun games. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we received some beautiful and thoughtful gifts. I have a few photos. It was a wonderful celebration.

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 39 weeks, I don't know what the fruit is, but I think we should just say that baby is the size of a baby and call it a day!

Appts/ Updates?  I go every week now, so I saw the OB on Wednesday and I will again this coming Wednesday.  I am just waiting for baby to decide to arrive at this point.  And I am ready!

How are you feeling? Overall I am still feeling good.  Baby is so low and right on my bladder, so that is uncomfortable, but you have to expect it at this stage.  Other than that, I am excited to meet the little one!

What are you craving?  Lemonade, pasta, and sweet - like pie!

One of those huts on the ocean type thing in Bora Bora would be completely acceptable!

It was tougher a few months ago than it is now.  Now I am kind of excited because there is still that sense of anticipation - plus it is driving my MIL crazy, as an added bonus!    We do have a few finalists for each sex and we are planning to pick a name when we meet the little one!  Which will hopefully be soon!!

I almost picked Bora Bora as my answer, too. It was between there and Hawaii. Those over-the-water bungalows look like heaven on Earth!

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 29 th july (C-sec) 38 weeks... Fruit a Watermelon or something really big... really really big! 

Appts/ Updates? I go every Monday so I got fresh news The baby is head down (finally!) Not like it matters, but oh well. Everything is looking ok and if I don't go before, he or she will be out the Tuesday 29

How are you feeling? Very big and tired! I can't pick up the toys from the floor (It is physically impossible!) Also I am having this prodromal labor that is quite annoying but hey, only 1 more week!

What are you craving? Coke...

I haven't been in 3 years due complications (mostly miscarriages and pregnancies). IT is a little fisherman town. So apart from the breathtaking "virgin" beaches (one of the best in Europe) and the good food, has the added value of seeing my friends and family, and speaking my language (that I don't even remember any more).

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 2/23/15, 9 weeks, green olive (no longer an embryo--a fetus!)

Appts/ Updates? Had 2nd U/S appointment last week, great heartbeat (150's) and growing well since last U/S. Measuring perfect. Progesterone steady at the current (nauseating) dose.

How are you feeling? I alternate between being pretty good and then near death with aches and fatigue and/or nausea. My boobs are much more sore this week. My hemorrhoid from DD is really acting up, probably because of the intermittent constipation I am having from the progesterone. I am nervous waiting 3 weeks without an U/S to see the baby at the NT scan.

What are you craving? Sleep. Egg Salad. Silence.

Do we go to the taste of Chicago? Nope. Mainly because I think this year all the crowds and the heat and the smells and towing a 2-yr old around was going to be more trouble then the amount of fun we'd have. We know most of the places there, anyway. And so expensive. Rainbow Cone? Robinson's Ribs? Eli's Cheesecake? NAILED IT.

EDD/How many weeks/Fruit? 34w/ Butternut Squash

Appts/ Updates? We had yet another growth scan/ fetal echo yesterday, and it was AMAZING! Jericho is perfect, in  the 75th percentile at an estimated 5lbs11oz already. The MFM wants me on maternity in 2 weeks, and I have to tell my boss today... EEK!

How are you feeling? I'm feeling exhausted and hungry all the time! 

What are you craving? Cheese, carbs, and broccoli

QOTW: Pretending money is no object, what is your dream vacation destination? Bonus points if you include pics! I want to be able to take our baby to meet all of the family we have on the East Coast while my grandmother is still alive.  She's 93, and I really want her to meet him!

My baby shower was amazing!  It was small and intimate, and my best friend did an epic job at decorations, while one of our other friends made the cutest cake imaginable!

@chicagojackie & @footprint I just had to Google Rainbow Cone because I had no clue what you guys were talking about. Looks yummy! Now I want ice cream.

@kateitho What beautiful pictures of your baby shower, thank you for sharing! Also, that photo of Jericho has got to be the clearest 3D u/s image I've ever seen. He's adorable!

@deezidee04‌ rainbow cone is a local thing and based on the flavor they put together it should NOT be good! I was totally sideeyeing dh when we went there the first time. But it is amazing!

Hello @deezidee04‌ and thanks for the check in! I'm late to reply because we have been on vacation! I'm feeling slightly more connected. I purchased my FIRST baby item while on vacation at the Monterey aquarium and felt ok! I still have my moments though.

How are you feeling? I thought my nerves would ease now that I'm in second tri. They haven't physically I'm better. We were in California on vacation and it was HOT. I was definitely tired and cranky and hot this week!

What are you craving? All the food. I'm trying to be good but not eating much in first tri has made me insanely hungry in second tri!

Even now that the baby is huge it happens to me. I can read the HB for a second and it disappears. So frustrating! One time (around 22weeks) I remember just giving up because it would be impossible to find. The baby was ok...and I found it on a second try an hour later, but dopplers can be heaven and hell at the same time

Also I think I connected with my baby right after the anatomy scan. I didn't buy anything before, I just pretty much ignored the pregnancy. Don't beat yourself about that. If it happens, perfect, if not I am sure you will once the baby is in your arms
