I just clocked out for lunch and realized I left my lunch at home on the kitchen counter. And I left my wallet with my card in it in the diaper bag. No lunch for me today

@mstal0929. can you borrow a couple of bucks from someone at work so you can eat?

one of my co workers actually just stopped by and asked if I wanted anything from CFA because she's going there to get herself something. So it worked out!
My lunch is ridiculous today. I was rushing this morning and grabbed a tortilla, some shredded Mexican cheese, and a little leftover pork roast for a quesadilla. I thought I was a genius at the time, but now that I've actually eaten said quesadilla, I still have to go buy something to eat. I'm starving.
FYI all I just made this light switch cover for my bathroom.
Ooh I need that for E's room. Her color scheme is gray, yellow, and white and she currently has no switch plate. I took it off when I was painting, and haven't gotten around to replacing it (over a year later oops).
OMG there's a dude here working on the HVAC system. He's been here all day, so like, 6 hours. We have two doors, side by side. One stays locked. Every.single.motherfucking.time he goes in or out of the suite, he tries to use the locked door. Every. Time.
OK, WTF, I just read that Detroit is shutting off water and sewage for those people who haven't been paying their bills. SRLY, this is basic need and you're going to take it away from them like it's a privilege to have running water and working plumbing.
I should stay away from amazon. I just ordered 24 feet of fire engine red contact paper to use in my classroom. I'm making a pizza box drying rack for papers. The extra will be used for something I'm sure.

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department says that nearly half of its customers haven't been paying their water bills, for a total of about 90,000 delinquent accounts, leaving the public utility with some $90 million in debt.
As the Detroit Free Press editorialized, the utility has long tolerated unpaid bills, creating a "culture of nonpayment." Last year, however, under the city's new emergency management, the department began an aggressive campaign to shut off water to unpaid accounts, and the effort has ramped up in the last three months. In May, the department says it sent shutoff notices to 46,000 accounts. But officials point out that many more customers respond to these letters by immediately paying their bills, or setting up payment plans, than by having their water cut off.
They're not cutting them off willy nilly. You don't pay the bills for years and ignore notices/don't even try to set up a payment plan?
IDK, I just don't agree. Most people in Detroit live far below even the poverty line. Having clean running water just shouldn't be a privilege in my eyes. Having to choose between running water and being able to use the bathroom or paying the electric bill, or eating isn't a choice anyone should have to make.
Lol, damn, that's what I should've gotten @thisisbrea. I was drinking Fireman's 4. Which my date (err booty call) called pretentious. I then called his face pretentious.

Pretty sure I screwed up the trimming, but while I see what you are saying the city can't keep providing water with no money. They have given time and options to people.
Whew. Just vacuumed and mopped the floor. It was much needed. Now if only I could get up the motivation to declutter all the old paperwork/mail that hasn't been sorted or thrown away. Ugh. Doubt that's gonna happen today.
I need to figure out what I'm cooking for dinner too. Maybe I'll snack on a pop tart while figuring that out. Bc that's healthy.
